When the mobile-terminated call is an emergency call from a public safety answering point entity, the data indications in the one or more data fields of the incoming call message are set to instruct the mobile communication device to automatically answer the emergency call. The incoming call message is sent to the mobile communication the wireless communication network.

When the ME detects an error in response to sending the version of the terminal profile, the ME sends to the SIM a previous version of the terminal profile which indicates facilities of the SIM Application Toolkit that are supported by the ME. When the ME fails to detect the error in response to sending the version of the terminal profile, the ME completes the initialization procedure and performs steady-state processing using the SIM.

Subsequently, the mobile device operates in the cellular network to receive the voice call services. The mobile device sends, via the cellular network, a message for cancelling the call forwarding of voice calls. The mobile device also sends, via a data communication service of the cellular network, a message for call forwarding voice calls directed to the SIP identity of the mobile device to the telephone number of the mobile device operating in the cellular network.

    Abstract: A mobile device operates in a WLAN for VoIP communications, which includes registering with registrar server functionality of a SIP proxy server with a SIP identity which is further communicated to a location server. In response to an incoming voice call from a caller via a telephone network, the mobile device receives an INVITE request which is issued from a gateway and forwarded from the SIP proxy server. The mobile device sends a response to the SIP proxy server which is communicated to the caller via the gateway. When switching from the WLAN to the cellular network, the mobile device sends via the WLAN to the location server a message for forwarding voice calls directed to the SIP identity to the telephone number. The mobile device also sends via the cellular network a message for canceling the forwarding of voice calls directed to telephone number to the SIP identity.

If the emergency call is disconnected, the mobile device monitors to receive an incoming call message for a continued emergency call from the public safety answering point entity. Based on identifying a match between the received MCC and MNC pair and any one of the home network MCC and MNC pairs, the home network display name is visually displayed in a display of the mobile station.
