  • Publication number: 20150297083
Abstract: The invention relates, inter alia, to a method for operating an elastography device (10), wherein an excitation unit (20) generates mechanical vibration patterns for generating mechanical tissue movements in human or animal tissue, and an image recording device (30) generates images of the tissue during the tissue movements. According to the invention, it is provided that for initiating the respective next mechanical vibration pattern, a respective trigger signal (T) is fed into a trigger signal terminal (20a) of the excitation unit (20), and for configuring the excitation unit (20), configuration signals (K) are fed into the same trigger signal terminal (20a) of the excitation unit (20).

  • Publication number: 20140350399
Abstract: The invention relates inter alia to a method for examining human or animal tissue, wherein at least one time-harmonic mechanical excitation wave of predetermined excitation frequency is coupled into the tissue, the wave speed of a shear wave in the tissue caused by the mechanical excitation wave and having the frequency of the excitation wave is measured by means of an ultrasound method, and an elasticity measurement specifying the elastic properties of the tissue is determined using the measured wave speed.

  • Publication number: 20140159725
Abstract: The invention relates to, inter alia, a method for characterizing tissue of human or animal tissue, wherein a vector field (u) is established, which specifies the mechanical deflection or a time derivative of the mechanical deflection of tissue particles present in the tissue, the divergence of the vector field (?·u) is determined and the divergence of the vector field is used as a measurement result characterizing the tissue for the purposes of tissue characterization.

  • Publication number: 20100130856
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for elastographically examining tissue. Said method comprises the following steps: at least one mechanical wave that oscillates primarily or exclusively perpendicular to the direction of propagation thereof is excited in the tissue (31) which has first elastic properties at least at one first point in time and second elastic properties differing from the first elastic properties at least at one second point in time; and a first deflection or deflection rate of an oscillation of the wave is determined at the first point in time as a measure of the first elastic properties, and a second deflection or deflection rate of an oscillation of the wave is determined at the second point in time as a measure of the second elastic properties. The invention further relates to an apparatus for elastographically examining tissue.
