Patent number: 5946035Abstract: A flash control method for an interline charge coupled device (CCD) camera, in which two photographic fields of an object are used to form one frame, is disclosed. The method comprises the step of storing an equation defining the relationship between a light emission amount of a flash, a flash voltage, and a light emission time for the flash. The target light emission amount is then set according to photographic conditions of the object. A first flash voltage is then measured, and a first light emission time is calculated using the stored equation according to the set target light emission amount and the measured first flash voltage. Light is then emitted for a duration corresponding to the calculated first light emission time in sync with a first period of the vertical sync signal. A second flash voltage is then measured, and a second light emission time is calculated using the stored equation according to the set target light emission amount and the measured second flash voltage.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1997Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: Samsung Aerospace Industries, Ltd.Inventor: Inh-seok Suh

Patent number: 5805244Abstract: A liquid crystal projector using monochromatic liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The liquid crystal projector includes a filter for filtering light emitted from a light source and for outputting a white light. A condenser lens group then condenses the white light, and, thereafter, the condensed white light is separated into the three primary colors of light by (color filters and applied to an LCD part comprising monochromatic LCDs. The LCD part outputs video images corresponding to the three primary colors of light separated according to an applied video signal. A reflective part their combines the outputted video images and outputs the combined video image to a projector lens. Finally, the projector lens projects the combined video image onto a screen.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1996Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Assignee: Samsung Aerospace Industries, Ltd.Inventor: Inh-Seok Suh

Patent number: 5754071Abstract: A digital signal delay circuit includes a first pair of counters for setting a starting point of a digital output signal by counting an adjustably set number of clock pulses corresponding to an intended time delay from a starting point of a digital input signal. The circuit further includes a second pair of counters for setting an ending point of the digital output signal by counting an adjustably set number of clock pulses corresponding to an intended output pulse width from an ending point of the digital input signal. The state of the digital output signal is only determined by the state of the output signal of the last counter in the first pair of counters. The output signal from the last counter in the first pair of counters controls a count starting point of the first counter in the second pair of counters. The output signal from the second pair of counters controls an initializing point on which the state of the output signal from the last counter in the first pair of counters is inverted.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1996Date of Patent: May 19, 1998Assignee: Samsung Aerospace Industries, Ltd.Inventor: Inh-seok Suh

Patent number: 5712681Abstract: An apparatus for inputting and outputting the optical image of a scene with means for compressing and expanding the electrical video signals of the optical image. Electrical video signals of the optical image are produced. A buffer memory temporarily stores the electrical video signals. A digital encoder encodes the electrical video signals to produce NTSC or PAL signals displayed on a television set, monitor, or color liquid crystal display (LCD). A compression/expansion circuit compresses or expands the electrical video signals to produce compressed or expanded image data. A memory card stores the compressed image data, and a microprocessor controls the operation of the apparatus. Thus, the electrical video signals are compressed or expanded to be permanently stored in the memory card as the image data or transferred to the digital encoder as recovered video signals.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 1995Date of Patent: January 27, 1998Assignee: Samsung Aerospace Industries, Ltd.Inventor: Inh-Seok Suh
