  • Patent number: 8806795
Abstract: A removable storage container that can be readily mounted on a firearm and in turn be readily removable from the firearm while returning to its original pre-defined shape, to be functional as a separate entity. A storage container comprises a housing 11 that has a pair of lateral members which can both be moved between a retracted position and an extended position. When the lateral members are in the retracted position, the storage housing has the aforementioned pre-defined shape. When the lateral members are in the extended position, they are locked in the extended position, and are adapted to engage the pre-defined firearm mounting rail configuration, and are prevented from movement in the long axis of the mounting rail.

  • Patent number: 5927578
Abstract: The invention relates to a lock system for firearms whereby an inexpensive, reliable and easy to use locking system is provided as part of a firearm and involves the formation of an opening formed in a strategically located part of the trigger assembly. The opening is appropriately sized and shaped to receive a conventional standard lock having a movable shank which is open and placed through the strategically placed opening in the trigger assembly and thereafter locked in place to affect the inoperative condition of the firearm. The lock can also be mounted as part of a holster which prevents inadvertent firing and removal of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 5594584
Abstract: A dot sighting device comprises a lens-shaped transparent objective element with convex and concave surfaces, the convex surface extending outwardly toward a target and the concave surface extending toward a user's eye. The concave surface has a first center of curvature lying on a baseline parallel to an optical axis of the element extending from a center of the element to the user's eye. The concave surface has a first radius from the first center of curvature to a center of the concave surface. The baseline and the first radius subtends an angle .theta. with each other. The convex surface has a second center of curvature positioned eccentrically from the first center of curvature located in a plane containing the baseline and the first radius. The convex surface has a second radius extending from the second center of curvature to a center of the convex surface. A light source is disposed behind the element and directed toward the center of the concave surface such that a light flux makes an angle .theta.

  • Patent number: 5383278
Abstract: A sight for aiming an arrow propelled by a bow to a target, comprises a frame; a mounting support secured to the frame for attaching the frame to a bow; a lens holder and lens secured to the frame front end; a light source secured to the frame rear end and adapted to project a light spot onto the lens, the light source and the lens being positioned relative to each other such that the light spot projected onto the lens is reflected to the user's eye who then lines up the light spot onto the target to take aim; a hinge disposed between the lens holder and the frame; a screw-drive operably associated with the ring and the frame and adapted to selectively move the ring about the hinge in first and second opposite directions to change the orientation of the optical axis of the lens relative to the user's line of sight, thereby causing the user to change the attitude of the arrow relative to the horizontal to compensate for various distances to the target; and first and second switches adapted to control the opera

  • Patent number: 5369888
Abstract: A gunsight comprises a unitary frame for securing to a gun. The frame has a ring with a lens at its front end. A light source is secured to the frame rear end to project a light spot onto the lens. The lens and the light source may be independently adjustable in the vertical and horizontal planes, respectively. Alternatively, where the light source is fixed, the lens may be adjusted in the vertical and horizontal planes. The light source and the lens are positioned relative to each other and to the gun barrel axis such that the light spot projected onto the lens is reflected to a shooter's eye who then lines up the light spot onto a target to take aim.
