Abstract: A process or method and a kit for the diagnosis/prognosis and follow-up of colorectal cancer, which includes a) the extraction of nucleic material from a biological sample, b) use of at least one pair of amplification primers in order to obtain amplicons of at least one target sequence, and c) use of at least one detection probe to detect the presence of the amplicons, the process or method including a modification step between steps 1) and b). Steps b) and c) are carried out at the same time. The target sequence is included in the WIF1 gene and the pair of primers includes at least one amplification primer including at least 15 nucleotide patterns of a nucleotide sequence selected from SEQ ID nos. 1 to 10 and/or the detection probe includes at least 15 nucleotide patterns of a nucleotide sequence selected from SEQ ID nos. 1 to 10.
