Abstract: An air purification device for purifying air, the air purification device including at least one electrostatic filter unit; at least one air filter module; at least one raw air inlet for the air to be purified; at least one clean air outlet for purified air; and at least one air conveying device for conveying the air drawn in through the at least one raw air inlet for the air to be purified in a main flow direction through the at least one electrostatic filter unit and through the at least one air filter module to at least one clean air outlet for the purified air, wherein the air purification device is switchable between an air purification operation, in which the air flows in a main flow direction.

Abstract: An air purification unit including an electric filter module through which air to be purified can flow and a first electrode and a second electrode between which the air to be purified flows and between which a first electric field can be generated by applying an electric high voltage provided by a power supply module, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode form an ionizer and wherein a mechanical filter module with a mechanical filter element is arranged downstream of the electric filter module in the direction of flow of the air to be purified, wherein a third electrode is provided in the mechanical filter element or in the mechanical filter module downstream of the mechanical filter element, and wherein a second electric field can be generated between the second electrode and the third electrode by applying an electric voltage.

Abstract: According to the method for controlling an automatic cleaning device while a window surface is being cleaned, the cleaning head is first advanced in force-controlled manner approximately centrally or near the edge towards the window surface. This initial position follows from the basic data of the associated building on the basis of the constructional drawing. The cleaning head is then moved in the X- or Z-direction over the window surface up to the window frame in a first edge-search mode and then along the window frame into the associated window corner in which the cleaning process proper starts. The frame of the cleaning head is elastically displaceable relative to the rigid structure so that the control means can sense whether the cleaning head is in contact with a window edge. Alternatively, in the case of frameless windows, there may be provided a sensor whose signal is received by the control means.

Abstract: The steam cleaning device contains a steam cleaning head with several steam pressure chambers connected to a steam generator, as well as suction regions connected to a vacuum source. The suction regions are constantly supplied with fresh air from a fresh air chamber connected to the outer surroundings of the cleaning head, in order to improve transport of the steam/water/dirt/air mixture to a backward vacuum lock in the steam cleaning head. Suction slits around the periphery of the steam cleaning head ensure completely stripe-free cleaning of, for example, window surfaces. The steam cleaning head can be part of an automatic cleaning machine used for cleaning windows and skyscraper facades.

Abstract: An automatic pane cleaning system includes a cleaning head containing at least one cleaning chamber, at least one suction chamber and at least one air supply chamber. Clean water, optionally mixed with cleaning additives, is supplied to the cleaning chamber to clean panes by means of ultrasound, rotating brushes or steam. Water is supplied through a closed air and water circuit which is connected to said chambers and by which the water loss is minimized during the supply of water.

Abstract: The outside mirror of a motor vehicle is provided with a wiper blade reciprocating on the mirror surface, as well as a liquid spraying means. An LED/photocell unit automatically senses the degree of soiling of the mirror and initiates a wiping cycle when a predetermined light limit is not reached. Irrespective of the degree of soiling, a cleaning operation is initiated after the engine has been started or stopped. The outside mirror is always in a perfect condition in which it offers good visibility to a driver. This considerably increases the road safety of an automotive vehicle.
