  • Publication number: 20230279959
Abstract: A valve assembly for select distributed discharge of received fluid in a predetermined manner is generally provided. The assembly includes a manifold and a rotatable valve body. The manifold has an internal chamber, a fluid ingress passage for receipt of fluid, and a plurality of fluid discharge conduits. The fluid ingress passage and fluid discharge conduits are in fluid communication with the internal chamber. A first internal chamber section is characterized by the fluid ingress passage with a second internal chamber section characterized by ingress portions of the fluid discharge conduits.

  • Patent number: 11607363
Abstract: A diverter is provided for use in directing airflow from an input port to selected output ports. The diverter allows for operation without valves, and is able to provide an air signal to selected output ports in a predetermined manner. The diverter having a rotatable member, or swivel valve, directing air signals to the desired output port depending on the rotational position thereof. The diverter is driven by a controlled actuator or motor, to thus control the manner in which air signals are provided to a plurality of output ports in a controlled manner.

  • Publication number: 20100228171
Abstract: A therapeutic compression garment is provided. The instant garment includes a unilateral torso structure, a biceps structure, and a tensioning structure. The unilateral torso structure comprises uniquely configured structure portions corresponding to front and rear panel forming elements. Contiguous perimeter segments of the uniquely configured structure portions delimit an armscye segment for the unilateral torso structure. The biceps structure is non-reversibly united, at a perimeter segment thereof, to the armscye segment of the unilateral torso structure. The tensioning structure selectively and reversibly unites portions of the unilateral torso structure.

  • Publication number: 20060135895
Abstract: A method of body manipulation in furtherance of treating lymphedema is provided. A wrap, adapted to fit about a body extremity and having a trunk region, and limb regions, and a plurality of compartments distributed throughout the regions, is provided and applied to the body extremity. Each of the compartments of the plurality of compartments are capable of selective pressurization and depressurization. The body extremity is prepared for receipt of lymph fluid via a first pressurization and depressurization sequence of select compartments within select regions of the regions of the wrap, and lymph fluid is drained from the body extremity via a second pressurization and depressurization sequence of select compartments within select regions of the regions of the wrap, whereby the lymphatic system is stimulated so as to promote readsorption of pooled lymph fluid within surrounding tissue.

  • Patent number: 6179796
Abstract: Apparatus for providing mechanical stimulation of the lymphatic system within the trunk of the body for the treatment of lymphedema. A wrap contains a plurality of bladders which are applied to the trunk of the body. The bladders are pressurized and depressurized on an individual basis to stimulate the lymphatic system to provide for drainage of pooled fluids by massaging the pooled fluids within the trunk section of the body toward selected lymph node groups.
