  • Patent number: 11173105
Abstract: Film forming compositions and methods for occluding dentin tubules of teeth to treat dentinal hypersensitivity of the teeth are provided. The film forming compositions may include a hydrophobic copolymer, a rosin, and an orally acceptable solvent. The hydrophobic copolymer may include an acrylate/octylacrylamide copolymer, such as 2-propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, 2-methylpropyl ester, polymer with 2-propenoic acid and N-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)-2-propenamide. Methods for treating dentinal hypersensitivity may include contacting the film forming composition with surfaces of the teeth.
