    Abstract: A product and a process for using a resilient, self-lubricating, shaped product for use in minimizing friction when the surface of said product is in contact with a relatively movable surface comprising the composition of a thermoplastic polyurethane and an amide having the general formula: RC(═0)NHR′, wherein R is the residue of a saturated fatty acid and R′ is the residue of an unsaturated fatty acid, said amide being intimately interspersed within said thermoplastic urethane for continual migration outwardly from said surface. The amide is preferably N-oleyl palmitamide.
