    Abstract: A method for providing an integrated control unit development process based on a plurality of simulation models, having at least one first simulation model and a second simulation model, wherein the integrated process simulates a control unit or an environment of a control unit and is executable on a simulation device. The method includes the steps: isolating externally visible first communication parameters of the first simulation model and isolating externally visible second communication parameters of the second simulation model; comparing the first communication parameters and the second communication parameters and identifying identically named communication parameters; and modifying the identically named communication parameters at least for one of the first simulation models and the second simulation models such that the integrated process is executable on a single processor core.
