Abstract: There is provided a device for neural stimulation of a patient's cochlea, comprising means for providing an input audio signal; a sound processor for generating, from the input audio signal, a neural stimulation signal for neural stimulation of the ipsilateral ear according to the hearing loss of the ipsilateral ear and a bone conduction stimulation signal for vibrational stimulation of the contralateral ear according to the hearing loss of the contralateral ear; an implantable cochlear implant stimulation arrangement comprising a plurality of stimulation channels for stimulating the cochlea of the ipsilateral ear according to the neural stimulation signal; and a bone conduction vibrator for stimulating the contralateral ear according to the bone conduction stimulation.
