  • Publication number: 20120071972
Abstract: A novel multiphase optic lens contains an elastic chamber including a fluid or gel to transfer an eye positioning to a lens shape with a refractive power and visual axis matching an eye's targeting. The elasticity of an anterior wall of the elastic chamber is higher than that of the remainder of the wall of the elastic chamber, particularly in a near reading center at an inferior area toward the nose. A near response is achieved when the anterior wall is pushed anteriorly by the fluid or gel to form a protrusion when a user is looking downward and toward the nose, and vice versa for far response. A balance is achieved when the chamber is substantially perpendicular to horizon when a user is looking forward. This multiphase lens may be made in situ by laser. The method is useful for intraocular lens, nose/ear-free eyewear, and macular protection.

  • Patent number: 7513903
Abstract: A method of increasing blood supply to an ischemic area with a cultured vessel in situ, comprising: 1) selecting a narrow artery responsible to an ischemic area; 2) selecting a vein drawing blood from the ischemic area and can be spared from venous blood return, multiple venous lateral system, and volume conserving venous system; 3) making a hole or flap on opposite lateral walls and wall complex of the artery and vein; 4) connecting the artery and vein so that at least 20% by volume blood in the artery will be lead into the venous network while resistance adjustment remains but total resistance is reduced. The connection allows blood flow through the lumen created between two openings in the vein and artery, and comprises an extravascular wrapping configured to provide extravascular support and promote endothelial cell growth over the interior surface of the connection between vessels.

  • Publication number: 20040097990
Abstract: This novel graft system comprises a material, device, and method of making. The material is a solidable adhesive fluid, suitable to form an extravascular solid bond. The device is selected from ice, laser, balloon, and needle. The method is to making an openings on a vessel wall. Blood flow is used to induce vessel cells to spread out from the opening so that a graft is produced in situ. The best embodiment is a reversed bypass from an artery to a vein network. This system is also useful for repairing tubular gland, ureter, fallopian tube, and lymphduct.

  • Publication number: 20030228393
Abstract: A multi-phase food and beverage composition is provided to reduce empty sweet-sour water related disadvantages. The air phase from the invention releases a meaningful smell when being consumed. The solid phase can hold a fluid phase and/or float in a liquid phase. The balance liquid phase has a combination of a pH ranging from about 4.0 to about 8.2, 0-7% by weight of sugar and sweetener, 0-3% by weight of alcohol, and 0-1.2% by weight of salt, which is referred to human physiological body composition for normalizing body composition and fluid metabolism toward optimal body fitness with increased sensory experience and satiety. The invention is suitable for an aromatic air aerated drink, fast fermented grain drink, amino acid flavored soft drink, motion vegetable beverage, cheese ball floated on a liquid, and aerated chocolate.

  • Publication number: 20010002269
Abstract: A method of making, combining, and using a balanced multi-phase food mixture and a multi-phase beverage made thereof is incorporated into carbonated herb beverage, aerated tea, fast fermented grain drink, amino acid flavored beverage, alcohol soaked cocktail drink, and aerated vegetable beverage. The liquid phase comprises total small molecular mineral and sugar up to 350 mOsm, pH 3.5-7.8, sweetener up to 7 wt %, alcohol up to 3 wt %, protein up to 30 wt %, fiber 20-37 gram per 2000 calories, at least 30% of calories are derived from complex carbohydrate, and up to 5% by volume gas, which will release a meaningful smell when being consumed. The solid phase includes at least 10% by weight plant mix, complex carbohydrate, protein, fat, and a combination thereof The beverage is natural and balanced referred to physiological body composition for normalizing body composition and fluid metabolism toward optimal body fitness with increased sensory experience and satiety.

  • Patent number: 6164281
Abstract: A novel method for making, preventing and reversing pathologic vessel condition, new vessel growth, and macular edema is disclosed. The invention is partially based on the discovery that accelerated formation of new vessel growth occurs near the adjacent area between grafts and recipient and follows the lead of physical force. Pathologic vessel grafts from deceased patient who has such pathologic vessels are grafted into hamster cheek pouch, making the vessel grafts grow as in situ, and thereof therapeutic regiments are set forth for treating neovascularization, macular edema, and angiogenesis.
