    Abstract: A pet restraint system for a motor vehicle includes a harness adapted to be disposed about a pet. The pet restraint system also includes an anchor having an anchor bar operatively connected to vehicle structure of the motor vehicle. The pet restraint system further includes a belt having one end connected to the harness and another end removably connected to the anchor bar to restrain the pet in a seat of the motor vehicle.
