    Abstract: An overwrapped carton is provided having a tubular body formed from a blank of paperboard cut and scored to provide a plurality of serially connected walls, one of which has a window or dispensing opening cut therein. A thin flexible protective sheet of film is disposed to extend over certain of the walls and the window and has end portions secured to one of the walls and a glue connector flap which secures the walls in a tubular array. The connector flap is formed from the material removed and cut from the wall to form the window, economizing on board material.

    Abstract: A carton for encasing and displaying merchandise, said carton utilizing a hanging tab at the upper end of the carton extending from the rear wall of the carton. The hanging tab comprises a pair of panels extending in series from the rear wall of the carton and said pair of panels being folded back into surface-to-surface engagement with each other, and then folded back as a composite panel against the rear wall. One of the panels is provided with an opening hanging hole, and the other is provided with a closed hanging hole having a plug bounded by rupturable score lines. The rear wall is embossed at an area which registers with that portion of the hanging tab which is to have a through hanging opening. The panel having the plug is provided with a strip of adhesive traversing the plug and extending beyond the score lines onto the remainder of the panel.

    Abstract: A glued folder includes pockets at the opposed ends thereof for engaging the opposed ends of an elongated product to be packaged and displayed. The glued folder is formed from a single paperboard blank, having a bottom panel, as well as side panels folded and bonded along the rear surface of a main display panel, with the latter including slots such that a portion of the main display panel at each opposed end thereof cooperates with the other panels to define the pockets. The folder is secured by a single strip of adhesive applied to one side panel.
