  • Publication number: 20160241549
Abstract: Methods for the authentication of a web site by a visitor to the web site. The visitor uses a device, such as a portable device like a cell phone to compute a dynamic identification string and a one-time password. The dynamic identification string is sent to a service provider, such as a certification service server associated with the web site. In response, the server computes a one-time password that is transmitted to the visitor's device. The device computed one-time password can then be compared to the server computed one-time password in order to authenticate the web site.

  • Patent number: 8755501
Abstract: Methods for identifying a remote user of a portable device by using the portable device to encode sound corresponding to the identification of the remote user. The sound is received by a microphone external to the portable device and converted to an electrical signal. The electrical signal is transmitted to a processing device, that may be remote to the microphone, where the electrical signal is processed and the identification of the remote user is completed.

  • Patent number: 8225391
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving the restrictiveness on accessing software applications on mobile devices, such as cell phones, are disclosed. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a computer-implemented system and method for improving the restrictiveness on accessing software applications comprises using a device having a memory, wherein the software application is stored in the memory and requesting, from the user, an original PIN, wherein the original PIN is not stored in the memory and any information about the original PIN is not stored in the memory. The invention further comprises using the original PIN as a seed number to create a true encryption key, using the true encryption key to encrypt an application secret data into a ciphertext and storing, in the memory, the ciphertext.

  • Publication number: 20090210926
Abstract: Methods and system are provided such that a Client device can send a synchronization signal to a Server device, and the Server can make the necessary adjustments to maintain the two devices plesiochronous. Further, the server is provided with the capabilities to calculate the Client time. That is, the server is configured to perform the necessary steps, as per the methods of this invention, in order to be able to compute the Client's CTClient at any given opportunity. The system and methods that are provided allow the Server to distinguish between one particular client True-Client and a different entity pretending to be such client False-Client. The identification may be dynamic in order to avoid the possibility of impersonation of the True-Client by an eavesdropper.

  • Patent number: 7539864
Abstract: Methods and device for digitally signing documents by using a portable device that encodes a signature string to sound. The acoustic signature string may be transmitted and then decoded back into digital data. The signature string may be further processed to verify the signature of the document and to produce a certificate of identity and integrity for the document. The certificate of identity and integrity may be used to further identify and validate the document and its signer.
