  • Publication number: 20220207461
Abstract: A system can implement an on-demand delivery service for available menu items by generate menu item vectors representing menu items and personal preference vectors representing user preferences in latent space comprising a word corpus of descriptive terms. Based on these vectors or matrices, the system can determine a set of matching menu items for the user, and transmit content data to a computing device of the user, causing the computing device to display the set of matching menu items as recommended selectable items for on-demand delivery. Based on a user selection of one of the available menu items, the system can coordinate on-demand delivery of the selected menu item to the respective user.

  • Patent number: 11157579
Abstract: A delivery coordination system selects restaurant listings for presentation to a user by filtering out restaurants that are unlikely to be of interest to the user, while ensuring that restaurant listings are selected to encourage the success of all restaurants using the delivery coordination system. In response to receiving the listings request from a client device, the delivery coordination system selects a filtered set of restaurant listings from the plurality of restaurant listings stored by the delivery coordination system by applying filtering criteria to the plurality of stored restaurant listings. The delivery coordination system generates conversion scores for the restaurant in the filtered set of restaurant listings and selects restaurant listings to present to the user from the filtered set of restaurant listings based on selection factors, which can include the generated conversion scores. The delivery coordination system transmits the selected restaurant listings to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20070180035
Abstract: A method of transmitting e-mails with attachments over a communications network includes the steps of receiving an e-mail with an attachment file, causing the attachment file to be stored at a storage device, and transmitting a modified e-mail having an attachment indication with a pointer to a location of the attachment file at the storage device. The e-mail with an attachment file may be intended for a group of recipients. The e-mail with an attachment file may include text content. Further, the modified e-mail may include text content and the attachment indication. The attachment indication may include at least one of information on the size of the file, information as to the type of file, information as to the file creation date and information as to the last modification date.

  • Publication number: 20030093451
Abstract: A method and structure for encoding/decoding a block of quantum data including removing trailing eigenstates from the block that have eigenvalues below a predetermined limit to retain leading eigenstates that have eigenvalues above the predetermined limit, encoding the remaining quantum bits retained in the block after the removing. The remaining quantum bits can also include a linear superposition of the leading eigenstates. The predetermined limit is based upon a density matrix of the block. This method of encoding produces encoded quantum bits and can further include decoding the encoded quantum bits by reversing the encoding. The decoding reproduces the remaining quantum bits and the encoding completely erases the remaining quantum bits. Further, the invention can include outputting only an encoded or decoded result.

  • Patent number: 6218832
Abstract: A method for nuclear magnetic resonance quantum computing (NMRQC) uses a liquid crystal solvent into which the quantum computing molecules are dissolved. The method allows implementation of more complex quantum algorithms which require execution of many logic gates over the duration of a decoherence time, allows NMRQC clock frequencies to be increased by at least an order of magnitude beyond those achievable using isotropic liquid solvents, and decreases the reinitialization times for a NMR quantum computer without decreasing the computational capability of the molecular systems.

  • Patent number: 5689661
Abstract: An n-dimensional torus network-based parallel computer, n being an integer greater than 1, is folded n times with the results of folding embedded in an n-dimensional layer for connection with an interleave connecting unit. Four-terminal switches or switch units are placed at the folding positions. The switching units are changed so that any two of the four terminals are linked together. This permits the torus network to be split into subtorus networks or subtori. The subtori can be integrated into the original torus network whereby the reconfiguration of the torus network is realized. The switches are changed over by the switching unit in either a static mode or a dynamic mode. In the static mode, only the system side is allowed to change over the switches. In the dynamic mode, users are allowed to transmit a message to cause the switching unit to change over the switches.
