  • Patent number: 10760007
Abstract: An LPG reclaim system for withdrawing and reclaiming liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from an unspent LPG cylinder. The reclaim system has a reclaim station for reclaiming unspent LPG from LPG bottle containers, a compressor for applying a vacuum on the reclaim station and pressurizing LPG vapor from the reclaimed LPG fluid, and a receiving tanlc for receiving a stream of pressurized liquid LPG. The reclaim system has a pair of shell-and-tube heat exchangers include cold-side tubes and a hot side shell. The reclaimed LPG fluid is passed through the cold-side tubes, while the pressurizing LPG vapor is passed through the hot-side shell of the heat exchanger. The heat applied to the cold-side reclaimed LPG fluid promotes evaporation of the LPG fluid to LPG vapor for pressurizing, and the cooling applied to the hot-side pressurized LPG vapor promotes condensation of the LPG vapor to LPG liquid for the refill containers.

  • Patent number: 9876795
Abstract: A method for authorizing an electronic device to perform an action includes detecting interaction data from an interaction between a hardware sensor and an identity-augmented tangible object; wherein data of the first set of interaction data is intrinsically dependent on physical characteristics of the identity-augmented tangible device; computing parametric descriptors from the interaction data; transmitting the parametric descriptors and supplementary data to a remote database system; generating, on the remote database system, identity data from a comparison of parametric descriptors with a known set of parametric descriptors; and authorizing, in response to both of the identity data and the supplementary data, the electronic device to perform a first action.

  • Patent number: 9533311
Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing mercury from an incoming gas stream contaminated with mercury so as to deliver an outgoing gas stream free of the removed mercury introduces ozone into the gas stream to deposit mercury carried by the gas stream on separator elements so as to remove the deposited mercury from the gas stream. The deposited mercury is washed off of the separator elements, and the removed mercury is collected for further processing.

  • Patent number: 9388996
Abstract: An improved HVAC system is provided for the delivery of a temperature controlled air supply via one or more air curtains provided at windows, doors and walls. The air curtains create a double layer of insulation over the surface of a window, door or wall. The invention provides for the use of the temperature controlled air flow from the air curtain to directly affect the interior room temperature. The invention provides an improved system for continuous cleaning the recycled air through the use of a wet electrostatic precipitator in the HVAC air flow, as well as providing a higher speed mode for the air curtain to prevent the inflow of particles and contaminants from outside of the building, when windows or doors are open. The invention may be installed on existing construction, or incorporated as part of new construction.

  • Patent number: 8771600
Abstract: The invention is an air pollution control apparatus for cleaning exhaust gases from motor vehicles using both electrostatic precipitation and a non-thermal plasma. The precipitator is especially useful in cleaning exhaust gases from diesel engines. The precipitator provides for easier cleaning in between uses, as well as a more efficient cleaning of exhaust gases. The air pollution control apparatus of the present invention is configured as two pass system whereas each pass is designed as multistage horizontal plate type electrostatic precipitator. The first pass applies a direct current, consistent voltage for particle collection through electrostatic precipitation. The second pass uses spiked voltage, non-thermal plasma generation for the production of free radicals to oxidize toxic gases, and with the addition of a diesel oxidation catalyst to transform harmful molecular compounds in the exhaust gas into safe gases.
