  • Publication number: 20240001022
Abstract: A bioresorbable device for implantation in the body of a patient for administering fluid and/or negative pressure to a treatment site. The device includes a bioresorbable resilient truss for holding two tissue surfaces spaced apart. The truss has two flexible elongate wall members wound in a manner to define a channel, the two elongate wall members intersecting each other periodically at a plurality of cross-over nodes. The truss also includes at least two flexible elongate bracing members, each bracing member being mechanically linked to the two elongate wall members at a plurality of the cross-over nodes.

  • Publication number: 20220249763
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-layer wound dressing for applying negative pressure to a wound. The dressing comprises a bioresorbable layer, for placement in contact with the wound; a fluid impermeable occlusive outer layer; a fluid porous porting layer positioned between the outer layer and the bioresorbable layer; and a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the porting layer, for coupling to a source of negative pressure. The porting layer comprises a multiplicity of fluid pathways between the conduit and the bioresorbable layer to allow for fluid transfer through the layers of the dressing to and from the bioresorbable. The bioresorbable layer comprises a plurality of apertures to enable exudate to flow from the wound to the porting layer.

  • Publication number: 20220105294
Abstract: A nasal pillow section for use as part of an apparatus for providing a stream of gases to a user, the pillow section in use located in front of the upper lip and below the nostrils of a user, the pillow section comprising a pillow gasket having a gases aperture which receives a stream of gases in use, and nasal pillows fluidically connected to the pillow gasket which are adapted to substantially seal against the nostrils of a user in use, so that substantially the whole of the stream of gases entering the gasket through the aperture passes into the nasal pillows from the pillow gasket and is delivered to the user, the lower inner surface of the pillow gasket shaped so that in use contact between the upper lip of a user and the pillow gasket is minimised.

  • Publication number: 20200246604
Abstract: A bioresorbable device (2901) for implantation at a treatment site in the body of a patient, for draining fluid from the treatment site or delivering fluid to the treatment site. The device has a bioresorbable resilient truss (2915, 2916) for holding two tissue surfaces spaced apart, thereby defining a channel into which fluid from the treatment site can drain or from which fluid can be delivered to the treatment site, and a port in fluid communication with the one or more channels. The port is connectable to a source of negative pressure or positive pressure.
