  • Publication number: 20240145922
Abstract: An antenna system includes a plurality of PIFA/IFA type wherein each of the plurality of antennas have either a same short pin or different short pins located together to minimize antenna separation between the plurality of antennas. The antennas share the same short pin with the width between at least two antennas of the plurality of antennas designed to minimize coupling when the at least two antennas operate at a same frequency. The short pin width is at least ?/8 where ? is based on a lowest frequency of operation of the antenna system, the lowest frequency of operation is about 2.4 GHz. The common short pin also includes a minimum distance to the associated antenna feed. Where the different short pins are located together the antenna includes a first short pin as a cylinder and a second short pin located within the cylinder without contact therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20240015918
Abstract: Compact electronic devices, such as Access Points (APs), having airflow and cooling features are provided. According to one implementation, a compact electronic device includes an outer plastic housing and an inner casing arranged inside the outer plastic housing. The inner casing has a high-voltage section configured to support one or more high-voltage electrical components and a low-voltage section configured to support one or more low-voltage electrical components. The compact electronic device further includes a single fan that is configured to draw air from outside the outer plastic housing, move the air through the high-voltage and low-voltage sections, and exhaust the air through one or more exhaust vents in the outer plastic housing. Also, the inner casing is configured to isolate the one or more high-voltage electrical components from metal portions of the low-voltage section by at least a certain separation to meet clearance and creepage safety standards.

  • Patent number: 11600243
Abstract: A display controller, comprising a 3D_LUT random access memory, which stores at least a 3D Lookup table; and a display control processing unit, comprising: a computing unit, a register, a color signal booster, and a color signal attenuator; wherein after input color signals are received by the color signal booster, and the color signal booster amplifies color signals by a first predetermined factor, wherein the computing unit calculates the address of the 3D Lookup table, and loads the 3D Lookup table from the 3D_LUT random access memory according to the register, wherein the color signal attenuator attenuates color signals by a second predetermined factor. The present disclosure significantly increases the precision of color conversion from one RGB color space to another RGB color space, and does not increase the RAM cost, since the cost of multiplying or dividing by power of 2, for example, is limited.

  • Patent number: 10736216
Abstract: A non-rectangular connection pad for coupling discrete components to connection pads reduces the capacitance in the connection pad area, and thus maintains a more uniform characteristic impedance along the length of the trace. The pad shape is changed to reduce the area of the pad. The reduced area reduces or eliminates change in characteristic impedance of the trace incorporating the connection pad and discrete component attached to the connection pad. An irregular pad shape may be used to decrease the soldering area of the discrete component, while still maintaining wettability of the solder. One example of such a non-rectangular connection pad is a C-shaped connection pad. Such connection pad shapes can be used on traces for high-speed circuits (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, and other traces carrying signals above 1 GHz).
