(cocoa) beans, to a method for preparing same, to cosmetic compositions containing same, and to cosmetic uses thereof particularly for protecting skin from blue light and/or for combatting the appearance of signs of aging and photoaging of the skin.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a synergistic extract of Palmaria palmata and of jasmine flower heads, obtained after aqueous extraction of Palmaria palmata, in which maceration of the jasmine flower heads is then carried out, the ratio of the dry weight of Palmaria palmata to the dry weight of the flower heads being between 40/60 and 95/5. The present invention also relates to a method for obtaining said synergistic extract and cosmetic compositions comprising said extract as an active agent. The invention finally relates to the cosmetic use of said composition for combating the signs of aging and for improving the elasticity of the skin, by favoring maintenance of the “stem” character of the adult dermal stem cells (SKPs).

Abstract: The invention relates to a hydroalcoholic extract of the aerial parts of Schinus molle. The invention is characterised in that it comprises predominantly quercitrin and miquelianin among the extracted polyphenols, in a concentration, respectively, of at least 0.04% of quercitrin by weight of the total weight of the extract, and of at least 0.02% of miquelianin by weight of the total weight of the extract, the other extracted polyphenols, considered independently of one another, being present in trace form. The invention also relates to a method for preparing an extract of Schinus molle according to the invention and to cosmetic compositions comprising an effective amount of the extract according to the invention as protective active agent, and the cosmetic use of such compositions to improve the barrier function of the skin and to protect the skin against atmospheric pollutants.

Cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions that include at least one peptide of general formula (I) in a cosmetically or dermatologically acceptable medium, and a cosmetic treatment method for restoring the circadian rhythm and resynchronising the biological clock of cells to reduce the dysfunctions caused by jet lag and/or nightshift work and/or to prevent or treat the cutaneous signs of aging were also developed.
