Abstract: A cosmetic and/or dermatological composition in the form of a powder containing pulverulent ascorbic acid, starch and at least one anionic surfactant. In a preferred embodiment, the composition also contains a water-soluble polymer. The inventive powder composition has good foaming properties when it is moistened with water, and it is useful in particular for cleansing and/or treating the skin. The composition according to the invention is preferably contained in a sponge which is moistened with water and applied directly to the skin.
