  • Patent number: 5673705
Abstract: An injection vial holder apparatus to releasably hold and apply to a patient a plurality of allergen testing applicators of the type stored in a tray of upstanding posts arrayed in a predetermined pattern. The holder includes a block member with longitudinal slits defining hinged flanking strips and further includes opposing clamp jaw segments which close onto the respective posts. A pair of hand grasp ears project upwardly along the opposite sides of the block to be grasped and thereby pivoting the flanking strips about the hinge to expand the clamp jaws for application of the allergen testing applicators. An elastic band is used to surround the strips and contract the clamp jaws.

  • Patent number: 5671753
Abstract: An allergy testing apparatus for applying to a patient a plurality of allergens including a formed tray configured with an upstanding peripheral wall and a horizontal web formed with a plurality of open top recessed wells arranged in predetermined spaced relationships and configured to receive and store a supply of respective allergens therein. A hand held applicator is provided including a horizontal plate integrally formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting applicator picks arranged in complementary spaced relationships with the predetermined spaced relationships of the wells and formed on their respective lower ends with penetration points. The hand held applicator is configured to overlie the tray such that the respective picks may be received within the respective wells to immerse the respective points within the respective allergens.

  • Patent number: 5551441
Abstract: An injection pick holder to releasably hold and apply to a patient a plurality of allergens includes a block member having upper and lower ends and side walls, the lower end having formed thereon a pair of parallel longitudinal downwardly opening slits and a plurality of sockets formed on each of the slits in spaced relation. A pair of upwardly and outwardly angling hand grasp ears project from the diametrical opposite longitudinal sides of the upper end. An elastic band encompasses the peripheral side walls and is continually in tension when it is in place.

  • Patent number: 4324423
Abstract: A tubular fitment capable of establishing a fluid tight passage defining a connection between first and second confined space defining means, with the tubular fitting when in a first condition permitting the second confined space defining means and a second portion of the tubular fitment to be rotated relative to a first portion of the tubular fitment and the first confined space defining means, and the tubular fitment when in a second condition locking the first and second portions thereof in fixed positions relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 4247399
Abstract: A device which in combination with a vacuum creating source and a pressurized source of a first liquid, permits all or a portion of a number of second liquids to be selectively filtered either singly or concurrently, and the particulates resulting from the filtering operation washed separately with the first liquid prior to the particulates being removed from the device. The device is of such structure that a number thereof may be connected by tubular means end-to-end to permit the separate filtering of any desired number of second liquids and the subsequent washing of the particulates from the second liquids with a first liquid from a pressurized source thereof.

  • Patent number: 4237906
Abstract: A tray having a number of spaced, individually spaced cavities extending downwardly therein in which tubular containers are removably disposed that contain biological active liquids. The containers have open tops in which resilient stoppers are sealingly disposed. Each stopper has a longitudinal bore therein that terminates on the upper end in a projecting bubble. Each bubble may be severed from the stopper with which it is associated by cutting transversely through the base of the bubble with a sharp sterile instrument such as a razor blade or the like. Immediately upon the bubble being severed, an elongate sterile applicator is removably and sealingly disposed in the bore associated with that bubble The applicator includes a handle from which a tapered shank projects to terminate in a flat first end from which a number of spaced needle like projections extend, with the projections being of a length that is the depth that is desired to have same penetrate into the skin.

  • Patent number: 4225440
Abstract: A filter holding assembly capable of being used to filter pressurized fluid from a source of the latter, with the assembly capable of being dismantled without the use of hand tools to occupy a minimum of space, and the assembly likewise capable of being transformed without the use of hand tools to a unit in which first and second mating plates support a large diameter filter membrane in a position to be subjected to the pressurized fluid. Particulates in the fluid above a predetermined size are deposited on the membrane, with the balance of the fluid discharging as a filtrate from the assembly. The first and second plates when in mating engagement define a centered confined space in which the membrane and a supporting screen are disposed, and the membrane having the peripheral edge portion thereof in sealing contact with a compressed resilient ring to prevent the pressurized fluid in the centered confined space by-passing the membrane.

  • Patent number: 4008718
Abstract: An elongate, portable, hand-operated assembly adapted to create either a negative or positive pressure within the interior thereof, with the device being capable of having a hypodermic needle removably mounted on either end thereof. The assembly may be actuated to create a negative pressure to draw a liquid that may contain entrained particles of solid material into the interior of the assembly. After the assembly has introduced liquid therein in a desired volume, it may subject the liquid to positive pressure to separate particles of solid material such as protein, bacteria and viruses from the liquid.Liquid free of solid particles, may be discharged from the assembly through a hypodermic needle that is removably secured to the assembly. A magnetically attractable body may rest on the filter within the interior of the assembly.
