  • Publication number: 20150343827
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to continuously print and bind different kinds of printed matter by providing the printing device, bookbinding device and printing/bookbinding system with: a paper-supplying unit for supplying a web from rolled paper; a printer capable of printing different images continuously on the web; a folding machine for forming signatures by longitudinally cutting and stacking the printed web and then folding longitudinally and cutting transversely; a conveyance unit having multiple conveyance lines for stacking and conveying only specified numbers of signatures; a distributing unit for distributing the signatures to one of the multiple conveyance lines; and a print control unit for making it possible to continuously discharge differing numbers of signature bundles from the multiple conveyance lines by operating the distributing unit according to a print command.

  • Publication number: 20120013063
Abstract: Signatures of various paper types can be discharged and guided properly to impellers by providing a pair of discharging rollers 31 that can sandwich and discharge signatures S; an impeller 50 that is disposed under the pair of discharging rollers 31, is disposed with its rotation center offset toward one of the pair of discharging rollers 31, and can receive the signatures S discharged from the pair of discharging rollers 31 with a plurality of blades 56 provided at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction; first guiding members 60a, 60b, 60c that configure a signature conveyance path K from the pair of discharging rollers 31 to the impellers 50, and are disposed on the center side of the impellers; second guiding members 61a, 61b, 61c that are disposed on the side opposite to the first guiding members 60a, 60b, 60c across the signature conveyance path K, and regulate deviation of the signatures S from the signature conveyance path K; and a guide-moving unit 68 that changes the path of the sig

  • Patent number: 7771336
Abstract: In a variable cut-off length type rotary printing machine, to perform processes such as a process of folding a cut-off sheet with a high degree of accuracy, a folding machine includes a cut-off unit capable of varying and cutting a cut-off length of a web fed from a printing machine of the rotary printing machine, and a processor (such as a folder, etc.) for processing a sheet 10a cut off by the cut-off unit. Between the cut-off unit 50 and the processor, the folding machine further includes a first belt conveyor for conveying the sheet at a speed equal to the web, and a second belt conveyor for receiving the sheet from the first belt conveyor at a speed approximately equal to the sheet conveying speed of the first belt conveyor, then varying the conveying speed to a speed approximately equal to the sheet conveying speed of the processor, and delivering the sheet to processor.

  • Publication number: 20080122157
Abstract: A folding device includes a first folded-sheet clamping device and a second folded-sheet clamping device that are arranged on a decelerating roller. A first cam causes the first clamping device and the second clamping device to release a folded sheet into any one of a first sheet discharge path and a second sheet discharge path. When two folded sheets are held by each of the clamping devices, a second cam controls part of the first cam to cause the second clamping device not to release a sheet into the first sheet discharge path and to release a sheet into the second sheet discharge path.
