  • Patent number: 5684509
Abstract: A read image is displayed and a specific point is set to a desired point to be subjected to an image processing. A first specific region is set within the range of a circle whose center is the specific point. A boundary of the first specific region is then expanded or contracted, thereby obtaining a boundary. A second specific region is set between the so-obtained boundary and the boundary of the first specific region. A predetermined image processing is effected on the first and second specific regions.

  • Patent number: 5050001
Abstract: A printing system includes a liquid crystal shutter matrix panel, a light source for illuminating the liquid crystal shutter matrix panel from its back, and a photosensitive medium disposed in confronting relation to the illuminating means with the liquid crystal shutter matrix panel interposed therebetween. A positioning unit positions the liquid crystal shutter matrix panel and the photosensitive medium longitudinally and transversely with respect to each other. An image data generator generates image data from a desired image. The shutter of the liquid crystal shutter matrix panel is driven by a liquid crystal driver on the basis of the image data generated by the image data generator. An image formed by the liquid crystal shutter matrix panel is focused onto the photosensitive medium by a focusing optical system, thereby reproducing the image on the photosensitive medium.

  • Patent number: 4850675
Abstract: A light gate array in which each of the gates is individually controllable. Uniform light is gated through the array to form a dot-matrix image on a photosensitive material. The light gates have differing areas or shapes so that different light intensities are gated by the different gates. The array is useful when the same area of the photo-sensitive material is selectively exposed through multiple gates of different areas or shapes.

  • Patent number: 4783145
Abstract: A method of forming a dot-matrix image, in which uniform light is applied to an array of light gates. The transmission of each of the light gates is controlled over several steps according to pictorial data to thus provide a finely graded image. Preferably, a contact screen converts the graded intensities to differently sized dots.

  • Patent number: 4689666
Abstract: A spatial image processing method for noise elimination, including the steps of subjecting an image signal representing a color image and including a density data signal component and a color data signal component to processing for extracting color data for each picture element of the image, discriminating regions of the color image exhibiting a specific color on the basis of the extracted color data, and subjecting the image signal to spatial image processing for elimination of noise under different processing conditions for regions of the image exhibiting the specific color and the remaining regions of the image not exhibiting the specific color.

  • Patent number: 4629675
Abstract: A photosensitive material containing a hydrophilic pigment is exposed to light to form a pigment pattern defining a particular image. The photosensitive material is brought into intimate contact with an image receiving material having a pigment fixing layer. The mutually contacting materials are heated so that the pigment may be transferred from the photosensitive material to the pigment fixing layer. A pigment diffusion assistant, is supplied to an area between the mutually contacting materials before they are heated for pigment transfer. The diffusion assistant spreads along a line along which the two materials are in contact with each other and promotes the transfer of the pigment.

  • Patent number: 4605972
Abstract: In a method for forming an image, a liquid crystal shutter array or matrix is positioned between a photosensitive material and a light source, and light emitted by the light source to the photosensitive material is controlled by driving each liquid crystal shutter portion constituting a picture element of the liquid crystal shutter array or matrix. Drive of the liquid crystal shutter portion is controlled by using the driving pulses having a pulse width shorter than the response time of the liquid crystal and by changing the pulse width or the number of the driving pulses in accordance with an image signal. The photosensitive material is of the type which can express a half tone. When the liquid crystal shutter array or matrix which intercepts light upon application of a voltage is used, the driving pulses are applied prior to exposure to intercept light.

  • Patent number: 4488810
Abstract: A chemical analyzer in which a component of a material to be analyzed acts on a coloring (dye forming) reagent in a reagent layer of the multi-layer type chemical analysis slide. The material to be analyzed is then maintained at a constant temperature for a predetermined period of time, after which the degree of coloration thereof is measured optically so that predetermined parameters of the material are measured with a very high accuracy. A conveying mechanism conveys the chemical analysis slides along an analysis path between two stationary temperature control plates. A first one of the plates having a cut therein has a heating element buried therein extending throughout the plate. The opposed plate has a heating element extending into regions not opposed by the cut in the first plate. The second plate has plural openings through which an irradiating light beam from a light source of a photometric mechanism and a reflection light beam from slides positioned over the openings pass.

  • Patent number: 4296422
Abstract: An image is recorded on the recording layer of an image recording material by exposing the photoconductor thereof to imagewise light and applying a voltage there-across. The image recording material is composed of(a) a recording medium consisting of a support base at least one surface of which is electrically conductive and a recording layer provided on the electrically conductive surface of the support base containing an oxidizable or reducible compound, and(b) a photoconductor disposed in contact with the surface of the recording layer. The photoconductor has a specific resistance of not more than 10.sup.9 .OMEGA.cm and causes the effect of electric rectification at the boundary between itself and the recording layer.

  • Patent number: 4250010
Abstract: An ion selection electrode device for measuring concentrations of predetermined ions such as in biological samples in which measuring electrodes are disposed on a planar substrate with their active heads lying within a circle of small radius. A small sample of a liquid to be measured is dropped on and spreads over the circle contacting each electrode. In a preferred embodiment, two sets of electrodes are provided around adjacent circles on a single substrate, one for the sample and the other for a standard reference fluid. A dam separates the two liquids but electrical contact therebetween is provided by a porous bridge.
