  • Patent number: 4712891
Abstract: A vehicular door mirror having a base part mounted to a vehicle body and a housing rotatably supported on the base part and incorporated with a mirror, in which a deflectable soft material having a high elasticity is used for forming the base part and housing in order to permit rotation or pivotal motion of the housing towards vehicle front side, this leading to an increased degree of freedom in door mirror design.

  • Patent number: 4707007
Abstract: To eliminate the need for forcibly closing the door to achieve a full closure of an automotive door, the striker which cooperates with the latch assembly of the door is not only allowed to move outwardly from its normal position but also adapted to be positively driven back to the normal position by a drive means. When the door is to be closed from its open position, since the striker has been displaced outwardly from its normal position, latching of the latch assembly with the striker is easily achieved by hand even when the reaction force of a weather strip is substantial. Then, the striker is positively driven inwardly to its normal position by the drive means against the reaction force of the weather strip. By appropriately controlling the drive means, very little force will be required to achieve the latching of the latch assembly with the striker and the complete closure of the door will be achieved by the drive means which may be an electric motor.

  • Patent number: 4317725
Abstract: Artificial kidney apparatus comprising a blood circulation system including a dialyzer and a blood pump interposed in a blood circuit connectable with blood vessels of a patient, the blood circulation section being contained together with a drive motor for the blood pump and an electrical supply source thereof in a single casing to form a portable unit. The unit has connection openings for detachable connection with corresponding connection openings of a dialyzing liquid circuit of a dialyzing liquid circulation section. Respective valves are provided in the openings which are normally closed but which when the sections are coupled are opened to provide intercommunication. In a modification a portable container freely contains a blood circulation section and a dialyzing liquid circulation section. A dialyzing liquid supply section is contained within the portable container in the interior thereof not taken up by the blood circulation section and the dialyzing liquid circulation section.

  • Patent number: 4287059
Abstract: A dialyzer apparatus in an artificial kidney system comprising a dialyzer main body having therein a blood flow passage and a dialyzing liquid flow passage separated by a dialyzing membrane. Integrally formed at the front surface of the main body is an air removal chamber which is in communication with the outlet of the blood flow passage and a liquid level adjusting chamber which is in communication with the air removal chamber. A pipe passage extends downwards from the air removal chamber for return of purified blood to the patient. The main body of the dialyzer is also integrally formed at its rear surface with a pair of further pipe passages which are respectively in communication with the inlet and outlet of the dialyzing liquid flow passage. A bottom cover member has a pair of medical liquid chambers integrally formed therewith and the bottom cover is mounted on and connected to the lower surface of the main body.
