  • Patent number: 10655209
Abstract: There is provided an inexpensive electromagnetic shield that can achieve exceptional shielding and display visibility characteristics, and provide high environmental resistance as necessary. In an electromagnetic shield (1), an intermediate layer (3) is formed on a glass substrate (2) comprising soda lime glass, an electroconductive layer (4) of Al is formed thereon, and openings (5) are formed by wet etching on the intermediate layer (3) and the electroconductive layer (4) after these layers have been formed by sputtering or vacuum deposition. Furthermore, an ITO layer (6) is formed on the entire glass surface including the intermediate layer (3) and the electroconductive layer (4) after the openings (5) are formed. In this configuration, the intermediate layer (3) comprises a mixture of at least one metal selected from chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten, and at least one oxide selected from oxides of silicon, oxides of aluminum, and oxides of titanium.

  • Patent number: 5844358
Abstract: A light emitting device is provided including a front panel on which fluorescent elements are arranged in a matrix form and a rear panel onwhich cathodes are arranged in a corresponding relation to the fluorescent elements. The cathodes emit thermoelectrons for causing the fluorescent elements to emit light, and a square frame-like spacer is provided, one opening portionof the spacer being covered with the front panel and the other opening portion thereof covered with the rear panel. A stepped portion for fitting with the spacer is formed in a position of the rear panel to be bonded with the spacer.

  • Patent number: 5341065
Abstract: A light-emitting device having front and back panels combined together through a spacer and frit glass, wherein the frit glass is prevented from flowing onto a fluorescent surface or flowing out to the outer surface side of the spacer. A joint surface of the spacer on the front panel side is provided with a slanted surface spaced more from the front panel as the outer periphery of the light-emitting device is approached. Alternatively, a gap for accommodating frit glass may be provided at an outer side portion of the joint surface. Further, the front panel and/or the back panel may be joined to the spacer by frit glass which is applied to each joint surface of the spacer by screen printing.

  • Patent number: 5304083
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light emitting device which emits light upon impingement of thermoelectrons on a front panel having fluorescent elements. In each bonding surface of a spacer which is bonded to both front and rear panels, a positional deviation or displacement of the spacer with respect to the front panel, the rear panel or a shielding electrode is prevented, whereby there is obtained a light emitting device of high accuracy free of variations in luminance, and it is made possible to reduce a dead space between adjacent light emitting devices and thereby attain a display of high resolution. In order to obtain such display, the front panel and the spacer, as well as the rear panel and the spacer, are respectively bonded through premolded frit glass.
