Abstract: A lighting device includes a first light source portion, a light guide that includes a light guide body with an elongated shape, guides light incident from the first light source portion in a longitudinal direction of the elongated shape, and emits a first light including the guided light to illuminate an illuminated object, and a second light source portion that emits a second light to illuminate the illuminated object. The second light source portion is provided independently of the first light source portion and the light guide.

Abstract: An electrocoating system with multistage voltage application includes an electrocoating bath filled with a coating material and having inlet and outlet sides, a feeding arrangement for supporting and moving an object to be immersed and coated in the electrocoating bath so that the object will serve as an electrode, electrode means including a plurality of voltage-application stages arranged successively from the inlet to outlet sides of the electrocoating bath, each of the stages having at least one electrode arranged along a path of travel of an object as moved by the feeding arrangement, power supply means for applying different independently variable voltages through the stages, respectively, and diode means for preventing the electrodes of the stages from being electrocoated with the coating material, the diode means including diodes which are forward-connected respectively between the power supply means and the electrodes of the stages.

Abstract: An apparatus capable of transferring objects to be transferred, such as car bodies and workpieces, in an inclined state. A support section capable supporting an object to be transferred is supported by three trolleys. These trolleys are guided for travel along the main rail. A pair of subrails branch from the main rail to opposite sides. Of the three trolleys, the one on the front side of the support section remains on the main rail while the other two are capable of moving from the main rail onto the subrails. The relative positions of the main rail and subrails, particularly the vertical positions are changed, whereby the object which is supported on the support is inclined.

Abstract: A spray apparatus is disclosed which is capable of producing a sharp-edged layer of coating in overlap over the surfaces coated in a different color so as to provide a distinctly divided two-tone pattern of wide dimensions without using masking tape. The spray apparatus comprises a first spray means and at least one second spray means different in nozzle design from the first spray means. In the first spray means, a film of coating is produced by an airless type paint discharge nozzle discharging a spray of atomized paint under pressure in an otherwise conical shape which is to be altered in spray formation by a jet of pressurized air whose axis is offset from the axis of the spray of paint and this film is thick enough along one edge and in the center while decreasing in coating toward the opposite edge.
