  • Patent number: 7599801
Abstract: Provided is a means capable of high-speed analysis of a large-scale correlation among sequences of biopolymers and reutilization of any analyzed profile. A large-scale profile database 103 is provided with which the correlation among sequences of biopolymers can be analyzed at a high speed, and any profile can be extracted from the profile database.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2002
Date of Patent: October 6, 2009
Assignee: Hitachi Software Engineering Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Shigeru Yatsuzuka, Isamu Muto, Iwao Yamashita, Takuro Tamura
  • Publication number: 20050064484
Abstract: A visual interface that allows a user to designate intuitively a two-dimensional sequence suitable for a target sequence for a functional nucleic acid is provided. Secondary structure data of a target mRNA is displayed on a screen, and various information such as characteristic sequences to be effectively influenced by the functional nucleic acid, binding sites for protein motifs, and UTRs are displayed on the secondary structure. A target site of the functional nucleic acid is designated by the user with a pointing device, and the intuitive determination of a most suitable sequence is supported by repeating the design of the functional nucleic acid.

  • Patent number: 6847381
Abstract: A method of comparing dendrograms created by different references or algorithms displays individual dendrograms (201, 202) on a screen in an overlapped yet distinguishable manner. The overlapped portions of the dendrograms are displaced vertically or horizontally from one another and indicated by different colors for individual dendrograms. A specified branch and elements hanging therefrom can be highlighted when displayed, such that differences in the manner in which individual elements of the overlapped dendrograms are clustered can be easily recognized.
