  • Patent number: 5634498
Abstract: A hose capable of exhibiting increased flexibility and lubricity. The hose is made of soft synthetic resin containing a slidability providing silicone resin material. In particular, the slidability providing silicone resin material contained in a surface layer of the hose or ribs formed on a surface of the hose. In production of the hose, re-dispersion of the resin material and forcing of layers of the hose against each other are carried out. Alternatively, a layer containing the resin material and a layer free of the resin material are co-extruded.

  • Patent number: 5358580
Abstract: A hose manufacturing process and a method therefor capable of leading to an increase in production efficiency and productivity and improving configurational and dimensional stability of the hose. A die is provided for co-extruding a flexible synthetic resin material and a rigid synthetic resin material to concurrently form an inner tube of a small diameter and a reinforcement which is concentric with the inner tube and has a diameter larger than the inner tube, respectively. Also, a cutter is arranged forward of the die in a direction of extrusion of the reinforcement for cutting the reinforcement into a spiral shape. Further, a compression air feed passage is formed in the die so as to feed compressed air into the inner tube, to thereby expand it. This permits the inner tube to be contacted with the reinforcement for adhesion therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5297117
Abstract: An information recording/reproducing apparatus, for recording and/or reproducing information on and/or from a recording medium, includes an opening formed in a front panel thereof to allow loading and unloading of the recording medium, a device for automatically transporting the recording medium in a transport direction along a transport path, from an unloading position to a loading position and from the loading position to the unloading position, and a member slidable in a direction opposite to the recording medium transport direction, associated with the loading and unloading operations of the recording medium. The member permits manual unloading of the recording medium when the member is pushed into the apparatus or pulled away from the front panel.

  • Patent number: 4690568
Abstract: In an indication hand type stopwatch energized by a battery having a second indication hand, a minute indication hand and an hour indication hand, a battery lifetime display has a battery lifetime detective section for monitoring a voltage of the battery and a battery lifetime display circuit means connected to the battery lifetime detective section and for controlling the driving of the minute indication hand serving as a battery lifetime indication hand for displaying a battery lifetime while the stopwatch is in a non-counting mode.In the case that the battery voltage is over the predetermined voltage, the minute indication is driven by 15 steps clockwise in response to the operation of an external operation switch and in the case that the battery voltage is below the predetermined voltage, the minute indication is driven by 3 steps.

  • Patent number: 4447163
Abstract: A winding stem mechanism for a watch having a winding stem and a pinion with a shaft body. The winding stem and pinion are dimensioned to slidably fit within a base plate recess, and have respective facing ends. One facing end is provided with a square blind bore, and the other facing end is square and complementary to the blind bore and dimensioned to slidably fit within the blind bore so that the winding stem can slide away from the pinion without displacing same and the winding stem can slide toward the pinion and displace same in the direction of travel of the winding stem. The pinion engages a setting wheel for setting a wheel train.

  • Patent number: 4219756
Abstract: A mounting structure for use with an electronic timepiece comprises a quartz crystal unit disposed within an opening formed in a circuit board and arranged so that the major lengthwise axis of the crystal unit lies parallel with the major plane of the circuit board. A connector formed of heat-deformable material connects the crystal unit to the circuit board and has a cup-shaped portion at one end which is clamped over and supports an end portion of the crystal unit, and a mounting stud at the other end which is inserted through a hole in the circuit board and secured thereto by heat-deforming the end tip of the stud which projects beyond the circuit board to form an enlarged head.

  • Patent number: 4117665
Abstract: In an electronic timepiece, a baseplate having a pair of opposed major surfaces, a magnetic shield plate disposed in continuous contact with one of the major surfaces and a stator disposed on the other of the major surfaces. A pin is inserted through the magnetic shield plate, baseplate and stator and includes a head portion bearing against the magnetic shield plate, and is engaged by a screw having a head bearing against the stator for fixing the shield plate, baseplate and stator between the head portion and the screw head. The shield plate includes an inwardly sloped aperture for receiving the head portion of the pin, and the head portion has a tapered peripheral surface complementary to the inwardly sloped surface of the aperture. The head portion is thinner than the shield plate and does not protrude beyond a surface of the shield plate, and because the shield plate is in continuous contact with the base plate it is not deformed by the head portion of the pin bearing thereagainst.

  • Patent number: 4044543
Abstract: The switching mechanism for setting the time in an electronic wrist watch comprises a switch blade actuated by a double-lobe cam which is connected by a lost-motion coupling with a coaxial transmission wheel having at its periphery gear teeth meshing with a winding pinion on a round part of the winding stem which is perpendicular to the axis of the transmission wheel and cam. The winding pinion and a clutch wheel which is rotatable with the winding stem have rectangular teeth which are engageable with each other to connect the winding pinion with the winding stem. A protuberance of a cam spring is engageable with one lobe of the cam to restrain rotation of the cam until the lost-motion coupling reaches the end of its travel. The construction permits its use in a thin watch.
