Publication number: 20070241658Abstract: An image display device includes a face plate in which a metal back layer is formed on a phosphor screen and a rear plate having a number of electron emitting elements, and an electrically divided portion is formed at the metal back layer in a predetermined pattern. In this electrically divided portion, a covering layer including a component melting or oxidizing a metal (Al) and heat resistant fine particles such as silica fine particles respectively, and having concaves and convexes resulting from the heat resistant fine particles on a surface thereof is formed. Besides, a getter layer divided by the covering layer is formed on the metal back layer in a film shape. It is desirable that in the light absorption layer, a portion at least positioning at a lower layer of the divided portion of the metal back layer has a surface resistance of 1×105?/? to 1×1012?/?.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 15, 2005Publication date: October 18, 2007Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOSHIBAInventors: Tsuyoshi Oyaizu, Hitoshi Tabata, Isamu Tsuchiya, Takeo Ito

Publication number: 20070090749Abstract: A display apparatus in which a light shielding layer to partition fluorescent layers of a fluorescent screen has protrusions and depressions capable of providing a discontinuous area at least with a resistance greater than a predetermined value, for a metal layer for a metal back layer and a metal layer for a getter layer. The height or thickness of a light shielding layer is defined higher than the total thickness of a fluorescent layer, a metal layer for a metal back layer, and a metal layer for a getter layer. According to the present invention, it is possible to effectively manufacture a display apparatus whose picture quality is not degraded by an internal electric discharge. Thus, the cost of the display apparatus is decreased.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2006Publication date: April 26, 2007Inventors: Nobuo Kawamura, Hitoshi Tabata, Isamu Tsuchiya, Takeo Ito

Publication number: 20060250071Abstract: A metal back-attached phosphor screen includes a light absorption layer (2) and a phosphor layer (3) on an inner surface of a face plate (1) respectively, and a metal back layer (5) formed on the phosphor layer (3). The light absorption layer (2) contains an oxygen carrier prepared by adding a reducing metal to a metal oxide. A particle size of the oxygen carrier can be set to be 1 to 10 ?m. Besides, a phosphor material in which an activator such as Eu is added to a phosphor host material including oxygen such as Y2O2S, can be used as the oxygen carrier. In an image display device such as an FED, it is possible to eliminate a generation and an emission of a gas from the phosphor screen, and to improve an operation life of an electron emitting source.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2004Publication date: November 9, 2006Inventors: Hitoshi Tabata, Tsuyoshi Oyaizu, Isamu Tsuchiya, Takeo Ito

Patent number: 4694361Abstract: A clamp assembly is rotatably mounted to the dital end of a clamp arm proximally pivoted to the frame of the apparatus. The clamp arm is pivotable between an unclamping position, where the clamp assembly is away from a motor driven hub to allow the loading and unloading of a flexible magnetic disk in cartridge form, and a clamping position where the clamp assembly engages between itself and the drive hub the magnetic disk in a position for data transfer with a transducer head or a pair of such heads. The clamp arm is sprung from the clamping toward the unclamping position. Operatively engaged at a first end with the clamp arm is a clamp lever which is actuated as by a hand operated clamp knob for moving the clamp arm from the unclamping to the clamping position against the spring force. For simpler construction and easier assemblage, the clamp lever is made of sheet metal and formed to include a support portion bent right angularly from its second end.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1986Date of Patent: September 15, 1987Assignee: Teac CorporationInventors: Isamu Tsuchiya, Tsutomu Kawasaki, Yoshiaki Sakai

Patent number: 4689782Abstract: A motor driven hub has a socket defined concentrically therein, with an annular disk bearing surface left around the socket for supporting a flexible magnetic disk. Movable into and out of engagement with the hub is a rotatable clamp having a central body portion and a plurality of clamp segments extending radially outwardly therefrom. The clamp segments have centering portions to fit in the hub socket through the central hole in the magnetic disk for centering same, and clamping portions for clamping the disk against the disk bearing surface of the hub. Each clamp segment further includes a deflectable bridge portion joining the associated centering and clamping portions to the body portion, so that the centering and clamping portions of all the clamp segments are individually resiliently displaceable for firmly clamping the magnetic disk.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1985Date of Patent: August 25, 1987Assignee: Teac CorporationInventors: Isamu Tsuchiya, Kiyoshi Hirasawa

Patent number: 4665454Abstract: A flexible magnetic disk, rotatably housed in an apertured envelope to make up a disk cartridge, is loaded through an entrance slot in the housing of the apparatus to a preassigned position for data transfer with a pair of transducer heads on its opposite sides. Upon subsequent activation of a clamp actuating mechanism, the magnetic disk is clamped for rotation and, at the same time, is caught between the transducer heads for data transfer therewith. In order to avoid the direct contact of the two transducer heads as a result of the user's tampering with the clamp actuating mechanism when the disk cartridge is not loaded in the apparatus, a clamp inhibit mechanism is provided for preventing the operation of the clamp actuating mechanism when the disk cartridge is not loaded. The clamp inhibit mechanism includes a detent which is activated by the disk cartridge inserted in the entrance slot for allowing the operation of the clamp actuating mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1985Date of Patent: May 12, 1987Assignee: Teac CorporationInventors: Isamu Tsuchiya, Toshio Ihana

Patent number: 4207494Abstract: In a microwave tube of the type wherein an electron beam emitted by an electron gun is focused and caused to interact with an input high frequency wave at a high frequency circuit unit by magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet type magnetic circuit, and the electron beam after the interaction is collected by a hollow cylindrical collector, a leakage flux generating means is provided near the entrance of the collector for generating leakage flux acting upon the electron beam. The leakage flux is produced by providing a notch for a pole piece adjacent to the collector and connected to the high frequency circuit unit or by reducing the cross-sectional area of the pole piece for magnetically saturating the pole piece itself or by keeping the pole piece in contact only with a portion of one end of the permanent magnet.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1978Date of Patent: June 10, 1980Assignees: Nippon Electric Co., Ltd., Nippon Hoso KyokaiInventors: Fujio Hatakenaka, Hisaaki Sato, Isamu Tsuchiya, Shigemoto Murata, Yoji Morishita
