    Abstract: A hollow pentagonal roof type reflecting mirror assembly for use in a viewfinder optical system of a single lens reflex camera is dust tight to prevent entry of dust into the inside hollow space and includes a filtered vent aperture to allow passage of vapor so that condensation will not occur inside the assembly. The assembly includes a hollow pentagonal body having roof and front mirrors and at least one vent aperture and a shielding or sealing member arranged to close the vent hole. The shielding or sealing member is made of a dust proof and ventilative material such as a foamed plastic, a paper and a cloth to filter out any dust particles.

    Abstract: A pentagonal prism for use in a viewfinder of a single lens reflex camera makes use of total reflection of viewfinder light flux at effective optical path regions on its pair of roof surfaces. The prism constitutes a module together with a protection cover attachable thereto for protection of the roof surfaces. The cover is provided with a pair of roof walls accomodated to the roof surfaces of the prism and including recessed portions corresponding to the effective optical path regions on the roof surfaces and peripheral portions corresponding to portions on the roof walls out of the effective optical path regions. Upon attachment of the cover to the prism, the peripheral portions contact the portions on the roof surfaces out of the effective optical path regions and an air space which ensures the total reflection is left between the inner surfaces of the recessed portions and the effective optical path regions on the roof surfaces.

    Abstract: A coin packaging machine where a predetermined number of coins accumulated in columnar form in an accumulating cylinder are supported by a supporting rod. A packaging paper is wrapped around the periphery of the columnar assembly of accumulated coins and both ends of the paper are folded and clamped (per amendment) rod is used for supporting accumulated coins not only for guiding of the accumulated coins from the accumulating cylinder to the packaging zone but also supporting of the accumulated coins in the packaging zone during rotation of the accumulated coins. A concave groove for the insertion of a clamping claw is formed in the side face of said supporting rod.

    Abstract: An apparatus for binding paper sheets, characterized in that a pair of confronting gripping plates are disposed above a paper sheet supporting plate, a groove for a tape and a groove for a tape application lever are formed on the inner faces of the gripping plates, respectively, paper sheets gripped by both the gripping plates are moved toward the side of the tape application lever to bend a binding tape inserted in the tape groove of the gripping plate in the direction of the thickness of the paper sheets, the binding tape is pressed by the tape application lever to insert the binding tape into the groove for application lever to surround the paper sheets, and the surrounding end of the tape is bonded to the other side of the tape to effect binding of the paper sheets.

    Abstract: A packaging paper cutting mechanism for use with a coin packaging machine, in which the setting position of a cutter is changed in accordance with the diameter of coins to be packaged so as to adjust the spacing between the cutter and a plurality of packaging rollers so that the cutting length of rolled packaging paper can be selected to a proper value. A pair of rollers for guiding the packaging paper is made movable together with the cutter so as to guide the packaging paper, while maintaining its preset satisfactory angle with respect to the cutter, even when the cutter is to be moved in accordance with the desired cutting length. Thus, the packaging paper can be cut easily and reliably at all times.

    Abstract: A pentagonal roof reflecting mirror assembly for use in a viewfinder optical system of a single lens reflex camera is provided. The roof mirror assembly is of a modular form and includes an upper roof member and a lower roof support member that can be fastened together to form an enclosure that prevents the entrance of dust. The upper roof portion includes at least a pair of roof walls provided with a first and second mirror. The lower roof support member includes at least a lower light transmission wall and a side front wall provided with a third mirror positioned opposite to the first and second mirrors. The lower roof support member is molded of a transparent plastic material to permit light flux for the viewfinder optical system to enter the enclosure through the lower light transmission wall. Optical elements such as prisms, fresnel lens, plano-convex and plano-concave lenses can be molded as an integral part of the support assembly.

    Abstract: A wrapping paper selecting system for use in a coin packaging machine includes a coin selecting dial for selecting a desired type coin, a wrapping paper supporting table having a plurality of loading stations each for wrapping paper for a different type of coin, a wrapping paper feeding station and a drive for driving the supporting table so as to bring a desired one of the loading stations into the feeding station. A selected coin signal generator is associated with the coin selecting dial for producing a signal indicative of the type of coin which has been selected to be wrapped. A plurality of markings are exchangeably provided in the loading stations to identify the loading stations. A selected paper signal generator is provided in the feeding station for detecting the markings and producing a signal indicative of which loading station has been brought into the feeding station.

    Abstract: A camera includes a forwardly facing illuminatable visual member and a first group of laterally spaced parallel vertical light absorbent vanes extending from the face of the visual member to restrict the light rays directed therefrom to a predetermined horizontal angle which is a function of the intervane spacing and the depth of the vanes. The vane parameters are such that the predetermined angle is equal to the camera field angle or the range finder viewing angle or two groups of vanes may be provided corresponding to each of the camera and view finder field angles. A second group of vertically spaced horizontal vanes may be provided to limit the visibility of the visual member to one or more vertical angles. The first and second vane groups are perpendicular to each other and either intercept each other, from rectangular frames or are superimposed.

    Abstract: A device for detecting the thickness of sheets comprising a seizing roller on a first shaft mounted for counterclockwise rotation and a feed roller on a second shaft mounted for clockwise rotation and having a diameter smaller than that of the first shaft. The seizing roller includes a peripheral portion having a peripheral length slightly longer than each of bank notes to be transferred and cooperating with the feed roller and a recess for receiving the forward end of each bank note. The forward end of the bank note received in the recess is engaged between the feed roller and the peripheral portion of the seizing roller during their rotation to pass the bank note between the rollers. There is a displacement detecting device for detecting the displacement of the smaller roller shaft occurring during the passage of the bank note between the rollers.

    Abstract: A sheet separating machine comprises a rotary disc fixed on a shaft extending through a reciprocating pump and having a suction hole communicating with the pump. The pump is actuated by a vertical motion of the shaft so that the uppermost one of the sheet or leaves is sucked through suction hole onto the rotary disc. The rotary disc is provided with a sheet or leaf scraping-up piece adjacent a sector notch formed therein. The leaf scraping-up piece is inserted between the sucked leaf and the remaining leaves in the course of rotation of the rotary disc to lift up the leaf through the notch onto the rotary disc.
