  • Patent number: 11980579
Abstract: The wheelchair includes a seating portion, body frames that support the seating portion, wheels that are rotatably supported by the body frames, an engaging portion, a left brake that brakes a left rear wheel, and a coupling portion that couples the engaging portion and the left brake to each other. The engaging portion is capable of switching between an engagement attitude for engaging a vehicle body member that forms an opening of a vehicle and a disengagement attitude for releasing the engagement with the vehicle body member. The coupling portion transmits the movement of the engaging portion to the left brake when the engaging portion makes an attitude change from the disengagement attitude to the engagement attitude. This operates the left brake when the attitude of the engaging portion switches from the disengagement attitude to the engagement attitude and brakes the left rear wheel.

  • Patent number: 4796124
Abstract: In a conventional cash or credit card, since the magnetization angle between the magnetic head and the recording medium formed on the card is fixed, data recorded on the card can easily be discriminated or copied through a card reader for allowing dishonest use of the card. To overcome these problems, data are written or read on or from the card on the basis of a head motion pattern code recorded at the head area of the recording medium. In operation, the read/write head is moved relative to a moving card in accordance with a head motion signal corresponding to a recorded head motion pattern code so that the magnetization angle between the head and the recording medium is intermittently varied in both data recording and reproducing operations.

  • Patent number: 4652729
Abstract: When a vehicle has reached an entry gate, toll information, such as the type of the vehicle, time and date, etc. are detected and printed on a passage coupon, which is automatically issued at a certain position corresponding to the type of vehicle to be taken by a driver. A highway toll is collected at an exit gate by reading the information on the passage coupon and calculating toll for the vehicle. The information printed on the passage coupon and the information relative to toll calculation are transmitted together with the information concerning the current state of running on the highway to a central control office. A passage coupon issuance unit disposed at the entry gate contains more passage coupons for regular sized vehicles than for other type of vehicles and issues them through passage coupon issuance ports.
