  • Publication number: 20080122185
Abstract: A combined oil ring 1 is comprised of an oil ring 2 with a generally I-shaped cross section including upper and lower rails 6, 7 joined by a web 8 for sliding on an inner circumferential surface 10 of a cylinder 9, and a coil expander 3 to press the oil ring 2 radially outwards. The combined oil ring 1 contains a seal member 14 for sealing a gap of the oil ring 2 and capable of making contact with the upper rail 6 in an outer circumferential groove 12 formed by the web 8 and the upper and lower rails 6, 7. The seal member 14 may include a structure where the edge of the seal member 14 is bent, and catches in a window hole 13 formed on the web 8 of the oil ring 2.

  • Patent number: 6263696
Abstract: In an absorption type chiller heater, a generator is heated in order to heat a refrigerant-mixed solution to generate refrigerant vapor. This heating is generally carried out by causing high-temperature combustion gas to flow in contact with heat transfer fins, which are provided on the periphery of the generator. The aforesaid burner uses a burner of liquid-fuel combustion structure to produce a longer flame as compared to that of a gas burner. The extremity of the lengthened flame coming into contact with the heat transfer fins can cause problems such that the fins are locally overheated to burn out. In this view, the present invention arranges a flame buffer plate between the liquid fuel burner and the heat transfer fins and provides a curved flame channel. This forms a curved flame, whereby the flame, despite of its great length, is kept from its extremity coming into contact with the heat transfer fins.

  • Patent number: 5896805
Abstract: In a coffee extracting apparatus in which coffee essence is extracted from coffee powder (200) in a container (51), an air feeding arrangement (43) is provided for feeding pressed air into the container. After the coffee essence is extracted from coffee powder, coffee grounds (200') are remained in the container. It is assumed that the coffee grounds are adhered to an inner surface of the container. In order to expel the coffee grounds from the container, the air feeding arrangement is controlled so that the pressed air is fed into the container after extracting the coffee essence from the coffee powder.
