  • Patent number: 6165360
Abstract: A method and a device for dehydrating a heavy oil wherein an emulsion of water and a heavy oil is mixed in a stirring chamber together with a suitable amount of an emulsion breaker, the mixture is subjected to separation in a two-phase separation tank to a heavy oil-rich component and a water-rich component, the heavy oil-rich component is then fed to a dehydrator of a high voltage charge type in which separation to a dehydrated heavy oil and a water-rich component is effected, the water-rich component fractions supplied from the two-phase separation tank and the dehydrator are mixed in a pipeline, the mixture thus obtained is admixed with an O/W emulsion breaker and then, fed to a stirring chamber and finally separated to a heavy oil-containing component and a heavy oil-free water layer in a second separation chamber.

  • Patent number: 5827404
Abstract: A solvent recovery method and apparatus recover waste wash liquid generated in automatic washing of a printing machine so as to enable a printing machine washing of high productivity, excellent safety and health effect, and low cost. The solvent recovery apparatus has a gravity separation tank (1) for receiving waste wash liquid used for washing of the printing machine and separating it by a specific gravity difference. A vaporizer (2) receives, heats and vaporizes the separated liquid from the tank (1) in order from a lower layer liquid (H) to an upper layer liquid (L). A condenser (3) receives, cools and condenses, by water (W), the vapor from the vaporizer (2). A distillate gravity separation tank (4) receives liquid from the distillate gravity separation tank (4) receives liquid from the condenser (3) and holds it statically to separate the liquid into organic solvent (S) and water (W).

  • Patent number: 4861816
Abstract: A polyvinyl chloride resin composition for powder molding which is excellent in resistance to mold staining and in amine resistance, the improvement wherein the polyvinyl chloride composition contains blended therein 0.1-10 parts by weight of a stabilizer mixture of barium salt of the carboxylic acid and zinc salt of a carboxylic acid, each having a melting point not lower than 250.degree. C., the barium and zinc metallic weight ratio being 1:5 to 5:1, and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a metal perchlorate and/or perchlorate ion type hydrotalcite compound per 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin.
