  • Publication number: 20030172480
Abstract: A floor working machine includes a body frame (1), an electric drive unit (29), a pad unit including a first pad (21) and a second pad (21) having polishing surfaces (21a) for contacting a floor surface, the first pad and second pad being opposed to each other, and a pad control mechanism (50) for controlling the pad unit by using drive of the electric drive unit. The pad control mechanism (50) controls the first pad (21) and second pad (21) such that the first pad and second pad reciprocate, with the respective polishing surfaces (21a) contacting the floor surface, in a first direction (A) in which the first pad and second pad approach each other and in a second direction (B) in which the first pad and second pad move away from each other. A guiding device (23, 25) guides the first pad and second pad in reciprocating movement such that the first direction and second direction are linear and parallel to the floor surface.

  • Patent number: 6285572
Abstract: A method whereby a plurality of inverters for converting DC power outputted from a DC power supply, such as solar cells or fuel cells, to AC power are operated efficiently without being biased to particular inverters. The number of inverters to be run is determined in correspondence with at least one output value of the DC output or AC output, and the determined number of inverters are selected and made to run from among the plurality of inverters on the basis of a predetermined rule. In addition, a parallel-connected system is disclosed for enabling efficient and appropriate parallel-in operation by the use of inverters, with one of the inverters controlling the remaining inverters and effecting system interconnection protection.

  • Patent number: 6058035
Abstract: After starting the input of a switching signal to a booster circuit whose boosting rate is changeable in accordance with the duty ratio of the inputted switching signal and calculating the output power of an inverter circuit, which is connected to the subsequent stage of the booster circuit, from the output current of the inverter circuit, the target voltage after boosting by the booster circuit is obtained based on the output power. If the actual output voltage of the booster circuit is lower than the target voltage, the duty ratio of the above switching signal is increased, and if higher, the duty ratio of the above switching signal is decreased.

  • Patent number: 5729405
Abstract: A disk apparatus comprises a carriage rotatably arranged in the case, and a magnetic head supported on the carriage. A voice coil motor for rotating the carriage includes a yoke fixed to the case, a magnet fixed to the yoke, and a coil mounted on the carriage and facing the magnet. A carriage locking mechanism for locking the carriage in a stop position includes a locking magnet and a magnetic member fixed directly to the yoke and the carriage, respectively. The magnetic member is attracted by the magnetic force of the locking magnet to lock the carriage in the stop position, when the carriage is rotated to the stop position. An elastic member is fitted on the locking magnet so as to abut against the magnetic member to relieve the shock and to define a predetermined gap between the magnetic member and the locking magnet when the carriage is rotated to the stop position.

  • Patent number: 5479304
Abstract: There is provided a magnetic disk apparatus wherein a hub is rotatably mounted on a hub holder of a bracket via bearings. A stator core and a motor coil are mounted on the outer side of the hub holder, and a yoke and magnet are mounted on the hub, thereby constituting a spindle motor. A magnetic disk is placed on a flange provided at one end portion of the hub. The disk is fixed between the flange and a disk clamper with a spacer interposed between the clamper and the disk. The bracket is formed of aluminum or a plastic material. A reinforcement plate made of an ion-based material or a ceramic material on a bottom surface of the bracket. Since the reinforcement plate is attached to the bracket, the rigidity of the bracket and the rigidity of the motor disk assembly can be increased without increasing the thickness of the bracket.
