Abstract: An outbound-operation support apparatus extracts a set of materials corresponding to received contents of an operation from a material database (DB) and extracts a theme and a knowledge-level value having a success rate larger than a predetermined threshold value from a value DB. Thereafter, a set of customer identifications corresponding to each of the extracted themes and the knowledge-level values is extracted from another value DB, and customer information corresponding to each of the customer identifications is extracted from a customer DB. The extracted material and the customer information are associated with each another and transmitted to an outbound agent terminal.

Abstract: A technique to maintain the fast search capability for the large-scale documents without causing the update delay is provided. This search processing method includes: causing an index search unit for carrying out an index search using a search index before document update to carry out the index search relating to a search request, and obtaining a first list of document IDs of pertinent documents; causing a string pattern matching unit having document contents after the document update to carry out a string pattern matching relating to the search request for the document contents after the document update, and obtaining a second list of document IDs of pertinent documents; and generating a search result for the search request by using the first and second lists and a third list of document IDs of documents relating to the document update.

Then, the collating apparatus stores the table after compressing it into an array format, and retrieves the keys in the file to be retrieved while referring to the compressed state transition table. This collating apparatus is applied to a word processor, database system, full-text search system, etc.

Abstract: A power source off delay timer generates an off delay output after passage of a determinate time delay period from when an input power source is switched off. This timer includes a main body, a liquid crystal display mounted to the main body so as to display the operational condition of the timer, and a liquid crystal display drive unit for driving the liquid crystal display during the time that the power source is on and also during the determinate time delay period between the time instant at which the power source is switched off and the subsequent time instant at which the timer generates the off delay output. Thereby, the position of the liquid crystal display may be substantially arbitrarily selected, and also the position of the keep relay may be arbitrarily chosen.

Abstract: A mode selection arrangement for use in a timer includes a gear box and a printed circuit board provided at the back of the gear box. Predetermined contact patterns are formed on a face of the printed circuit board facing the gear box. Rotatably provided in the gear box are display gears and switch gears. Each display gear has a plurality of indicia depicted on its face, and the corresponding switch gear rotates operatively or integrally with the display gear. A sliding contact member is fixedly attached to each switch gear, so that the sliding contact member slidingly contacts the corresponding contact pattern. A front plate having windows formed therein is provided to close the gear box so that the indicia are displayed through the windows.
