Abstract: An electrostatic image developing toner, characterized by containing at least a resin, a coloring agent and a compound of the formula (1), ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are respectively independently a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyl group or an aralkyl group which may have a substituent, and X is a halogen ion, an aromatic sulfonic acid ion which may have a substituent or an aromatic carboxylic acid ion which may have a substituent.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electrophotographic toner free of metal such as chromium. A novel electrostatic image developing toner is provided, comprising as a charge-controlling agent one or more selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## wherein A, B and R are as defined in the specification.

Abstract: An electrophotographic toner capable of being electrified negatively comprising:(a) a binder resin; and(b) a charge-controlling and coloring agent comprising at least one 2:1 type metal complex of the formula (I): ##STR1## where each of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2, which may be the same or different, is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkoxy group, a nitro group or a halogen atom, each of m and m' is an integer of 1 to 3, each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be the same or different, is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkoxy group, a halgen atom, a nitro group, a sulfonamide group, a methylsulfonyl group, an ethylsulfonyl group, an acetyl amino group or a benzoyl amino group, each of n and n' is an integer of 1 to 3, Y.sup..sym. is an ammonium ion, an aliphatic ammonium ion, an alicyclic ammonium ion or a heterocyclic ammonium ion, and M is a chromium atom, a cobalt atom or an iron atom.

Abstract: There are disclosed azo compounds represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen or halogen. The azo compounds are useful as precursors of disperse dyes and basic dyes and are effective for therapeutic treatment.

Abstract: An electrophotographic toner effective for producing clear visible images, comprises a binder resin, and a charge-controlling and coloring agent comprising at least one 2:1 type metal complex of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein M is Cr or Co, n is 1 or 2, Y is H or a radical of the formula (II): ##STR2## wherein X is H, a halogen, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or a nitro and m is 1, 2 or 3.
