Patent number: 6534281Abstract: An immunoassay for selectively measuring human C-peptide as well as a kit therefor is disclosed. In the method, human C-peptide contained in a sample, a first anti-human C-peptide antibody, and a second anti-human C-peptide antibody which is immobilized on a solid support are reacted to form an immune complex among these three components. The formed immune complex is separated from the non-reacted antibodies and sample; and then the separated immune complex is quantified. The first antibody recognizes an epitope existing in the region from 1st to 16th amino acid residue from the N-terminal of the human C-peptide, and the second antibody recognizes an epitope existing in the region from 1st to 16th amino acid residue from the N-terminal of human C-peptide; with the proviso that the first and second antibodies do not recognize the same epitope so that they can simultaneously bind to said human C-peptide.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2001Date of Patent: March 18, 2003Assignee: Fujirebio Inc.Inventors: Sachiko Kitajima, Yoshihiro Kurano, Kaoru Nakatsubo, Isao Nishizono

Patent number: 5603898Abstract: A dry-type analytical element for immunoassay having at least one water-permeable layer for measuring a ligand in a sample according to enzyme immunoassay, which comprises,(A) a water-soluble macromolecular substrate, and(B) an enzyme conjugated with antibody reacting with the ligand in the sample capable to act on the above water-soluble macromolecular substrate. The above analytical element further comprises,(C) a macromolecular antigen which is a conjugate of the ligand or its derivative with a macromolecular compound in the above water-permeable layer of the above dry-type analytical element. The invention can conduct highly sensitive and simple enzyme immunoassay.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1992Date of Patent: February 18, 1997Assignees: Fujirejiro Inc., Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoshihiro Ashihara, Yukio Sudo, Isao Nishizono, Toshikage Hiraoka, Tetsuji Tanimoto, Shigeki Kageyama

Patent number: 5482839Abstract: An automatic immunoassay apparatus utilizes cartridges each having at least two wells, a first well of said wells containing solid phase material carrying antigen or antibody, a second well of said wells containing antibody or antigen labelled with labelling compound. The wells may be sealed with a suitable sealing film before use and the sealing film is broken when the cartridge is to be used. The cartridges are transported to a predetermined position on a steppingly movable reaction line and conveyed thereby at a predetermined interval. While the reaction line steps, a sample, labelled antigen or antibody contained in the second well and substrate, if necessary, are added to the first well and stirred at predetermined timings and reaction between the sample and a reactive solution is measured under control of a control device having memory means storing operator selectable programs for various measuring methods.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 1993Date of Patent: January 9, 1996Inventors: Yoshihiro Ashihara, Isao Nishizono, Hidetaka Minakawa, Masahisa Okada, Yasusuke Sakurabayashi, Fumio Watanabe, Shin-ichi Wakana
