  • Patent number: 5465101
Abstract: A display device capable of permitting a plurality of display units connected together to carry out a series of displays through a single control section, to thereby automatically assign numbers to the display units. The control section and first- to six-stage display units are cascade-connected to each other, wherein the sixth- or last-stage module is connected at an output terminal thereof to an input terminal of the control section. The control section outputs an H signal in synchronism with the trigger signal of which the number of times of outputting is predetermined. The modules each normally outputs the L signal. However, the module outputs the H signal at a timing of the next trigger signal when it is fed with the H signal. Addition of 1 to the number of L signals in each of the modules at the time of N=6 permits a number of the module to be obtained. The control section grasps the number of modules connected based on the number of L signals input thereto.

  • Patent number: 5053863
Abstract: A P/S converter converts parallel digital video signals such as a luminance signal Y and color difference signals R-Y and B-Y to serial digital video signals which are written into a semiconductor memory. The serial digital video signals read from the semiconductor memory are converted in a S/P converter to parallel digital video signals. A clock generator supplies clock signals to the P/S and S/P converters, such that a phase of the clock signals for the S/P converter has a predetermined relation to a phase of the clock signals for the P/S converter. As a result, the number of input and output pins is decreased in the semiconductor memory to result in the decreased of the fabricating cost thereof.

  • Patent number: 5039987
Abstract: A circuit for converting a phase signal to an amplitude signal comprises a signal separating circuit which receives a phase signal and provides in accordance therewith a phase conversion signal and a sign signal, and a conversion unit including a conversion table in which a predetermined signal wave in a reference phase angle range is stored. A phase angle of a phase signal is converted into a converted phase angle, when the phase angle is outside a reference phase angle range. An amplitude signal is obtained by reading an amplitude based on the phase angle or the phase converted angle from the conversion unit.
