  • Publication number: 20060001138
Abstract: To improve electronic part packaging efficiency without sacrificing the transmission distance of a radio IC tag, a recess is formed in the front side surface of a printed wiring board. An IC chip is placed in the recess so that the IC chip does not protrude from the front side surface, a first major surface 1a and a second major surface of the printed wiring board. Antenna elements of an antenna are formed on the front side surface on the opposite sides, respectively, of the IC chip, and the antenna is connected to the IC chip. The antenna is a dipole antenna of a length equal to half the wavelength of radio waves to be radiated by the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20050275539
Abstract: A radio frequency IC tag and a manufacturing method for the same includes an IC chip on which information is stored, and an antenna for transmitting the information that is stored on the IC chip. In the antenna, a power-feeding part on which the IC chip is mounted extends along a direction in which an electric current flows. Radiation parts are formed so that the width of the radiation parts becomes wider than that of the power-feeding part with respect to the longitudinal axis of the power-feeding part. The radiation parts extend from the power-feeding part, at both sides thereof, along the direction in which the electric current flows.

  • Publication number: 20050140512
Abstract: In a wireless IC tag, metallic antennas are deposited as thin films on the front and back surfaces of a spacer, made of a heat-resistant glass epoxy material having a desired dielectric constant, to form a first antenna and a second antenna. An IC chip is mounted in the center of the first antenna. The second antenna functions as an auxiliary antenna for resonating to a desired frequency of a transmission radio wave of the first antenna to strengthen the intensity of the radio wave. Accordingly, even when the IC tag is mounted to a cable or the like, the tag can be mounted in the interior of the enclosure of the cable and thus the radio wave intensity of the first antenna can be prevented from being weakened by a metallic member in the cable.

  • Publication number: 20050138798
Abstract: A radio IC tag includes a first antenna and a first spacer, and is arranged so as to generate an operating power by a radio wave received at the first antenna and having a predetermined frequency, operate an IC chip using the power, read out identification information stored in the IC chip, and transmits the identification information, further includes a second antenna having a predetermined length for resonating with the radio wave having the predetermined frequency, and a second spacer provided between the first antenna and the second antenna for holding a distance between the both antennas.
