  • Patent number: 5523908
Abstract: A cassette tape player has a cassette chamber defined therein adapted to be selectively opened and closed by a hingedly supported lid which is movable between open and closed positions. This cassette tape player includes a cassette holder movable between loading and operative positions about a holder hinge axis parallel to a lid hinge axis about which the lid pivots. The cassette holder includes a generally elongated holder base and holder arms rigidly connected at one end to respective opposite ends of the holder base so as to define a cassette receiving chamber. A cassette guide is movably secured to a portion of the lid opposite to the lid hinge axis for pivotal movement between retracted and protruding positions about a guide hinge axis parallel to the holder hinge axis and operable to guide a tape cassette into the cassette receiving chamber with opposite side portions of the tape cassette slidingly received by the holder arms when the lid is in the open position.

  • Patent number: 5483395
Abstract: A tape recorder includes a first position where an analog compact cassette and a digital tape cassette are installed and dismounted, and a second position where a magnetic tape is caused to run. The digital tape cassette has a shutter for covering front openings for inserting a magnetic head and pinch rollers when the cassette is not used and opened in the magnetic tape running direction or the opposite when the cassette is used. The digital tape cassette also includes a holder for allowing either cassette to reciprocate between the first position and the second position, and a shutter operating device for opening and closing the shutter. The holder is integrated with the shutter operating device.

  • Patent number: 5406430
Abstract: A tape cassette mount for receiving different types of tape cassettes in a tape cassette recorder has a shutter operating mechanism including an arm and a guide roller provided at an end of the arm. The guide roller rotates while sliding along a guide of the tape cassette, thereby sliding the shutter open. When a different type of tape cassette having no shutter is inserted, the arm is pressed and thus pivoted by the tape cassette to a retracting position without damaging the tape cassette or a magnetic tape.

  • Patent number: 4987333
Abstract: In a brushless motor formed from a plate type stator in which a driving coil is buried, and a rotor which opposes this stator, a cutout is formed in a portion where no driving coil of a stator exists and a pulley section is provided in the periphery of the shaft-through section of the rotor. The pulley section is inserted into the rotor shaft hole formed in the center of the stator, and a pulley belt wound on the pulley section is guided outside the motor via the cutout of the above-mentioned stator. That is, the brushless motor is of an ultra-thin type in which a pulley is housed within the thickness of a motor.

  • Patent number: 4694723
Abstract: A keyboard type electronic musical instrument in which note data and duration data are read out from a memory in accordance with the progress of a musical piece, and a control circuit (CPU) turns on display devices provided for individual keys on a keyboard in response to note data, thus training a player to operate keys specified by the display devices. The control circuit counts each instance of noncoincidence between a key represented by the note data and an operated key on the keyboard, and obtains deviations between a key operation timing defined by duration data and the timing of key operation on the keyboard. After the end of a performance, the control circuit informs the player of the number of the mis-key operations or the accumulation of key operation timing deviations by means of the display devices. A number of display devices corresponding to the accuracy of the performance are lit.
