  • Patent number: 8857290
Abstract: A link connecting structure of an operating pedal device for a vehicle includes a connecting pin used for at least one of connections of a connecting link to an operating pedal and to a pivot member, a disengagement-preventing portion formed by plastically deforming a tip portion of a shaft of the connecting pin passed through the connecting link and the operating pedal or the pivot member and a predetermined space formed between the connecting link with the operating pedal or the pivot member and the disengagement-preventing portion. The tip portion has a larger diameter locally than the initial diameter of the shaft. The predetermined space allows the connecting link and the operating pedal or the pivot member to be pivoted relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 8279225
Abstract: Distribution images that are element mapping images displayed on a parent window of a display unit are switched by selecting a particular element or an analysis line to be displayed on a display element screen or a screen switch button using a keyboard or a mouse, so that the plural distribution images overlap to be overwritten at the same large size.

  • Publication number: 20100186540
Abstract: When the operating pedal and the pivot member are connected by the connecting links, roll caulking is performed on the tip portions of the shafts of the connecting pins, with the shafts passing through the connecting pin through holes of the connecting links, and also through the metal bush of the operating pedal or the metal bush of the pivot member. Accordingly, by plastic deformation, the tip portions have a larger diameter to give the disengagement-preventing portions, in such a manner that a predetermined space ? is formed between the disengagement-preventing portions and the components that are connected by the connecting pins, respectively. Consequently, unlike the conventional, ordinary caulking, owing to the presence of the space ?, relative pivotal movement is allowed between the components that are connected by the connecting pins. Therefore, the forming process of the disengagement-preventing portions for the connecting pins, that is, roll caulking, can be easily automated.

  • Publication number: 20080133349
Abstract: A seller of online merchandise reduces the number of incomplete transactions by offering incentives to consumers to complete transactions. When a consumer adds an item to an online shopping cart, a monitoring page is opened in the consumer's browser. If the consumer abandons the shopping cart, for example by closing the browser window or navigating away from the seller's web site, the monitoring window is maximized and redirected to an offer page. The offer page presents the consumer with an incentive to purchase the items abandoned in the shopping cart. If the consumer accepts the incentive, he is redirected to a page where the order is completed. Incentives may be offered in some embodiments to customers who view an item and leave the site, even if the item was not actually placed in a shopping cart.

  • Patent number: 6808040
Abstract: A vehicle-pedal-backward-displacement preventing device for preventing a depressable portion of an operating pedal from being displaced toward an operator's seat of the vehicle in the event of displacement of a dash panel of the vehicle toward the operator's seat. The device includes a connecting member which is disposed between a pedal bracket and a reinforcement member of the vehicle and connects the pedal bracket with the reinforcement member, and which is deformable in the event of displacement of the dash panel toward the operator's seat. The connecting member includes a contactable portion which is to be brought into contact with the operating pedal upon deformation of the connecting member, for thereby causing the operating pedal to be pivoted in such a direction that causes the depressable portion of the operating pedal to be displaced in the forward direction of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5273350
Abstract: A first threshold value of a fixed amount of vehicle velocity arranged on the lower side of the vehicle velocity is set, and a second threshold value of a fixed amount of vehicle velocity also arranged on the lower side of vehicle velocity, which second threshold is greater than that of the first threshold value. The difference between vehicle velocity at maximum recovery velocity of wheel velocity and the maximum recovery velocity of the wheel velocity is compared with the first and second threshold values, and the next point at which a changeover is made to repressurization of brake fluid is altered in dependence upon the results of the comparison. Accordingly, repressurization of the brake cylinder is controlled in dependence upon the condition of the road surface on which the vehicle is traveling, and more appropriate antiskid braking control can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 5178440
Abstract: When skidding of a wheel is detected at braking of the wheel, a passage changeover valve is changed over to allow a brake fluid within a brake cylinder to escape to a low-pressure accumulator, thereby reducing the pressure within the brake cylinder. In addition, by driving a pump, the brake fluid, which has accumulated in the low-pressure accumulator, is fed under pressure to circulate this brake fluid to a brake fluid passage between the master cylinder and the passage changeover valve. When wheel velocity recovers a predetermined amount, the passage changeover valve is changed over, thereby supplying the brake fluid from the pump to the brake cylinder so as to increase the pressure of the brake cylinder again. When the wheel velocity of the braked wheel has recovered to a predetermined wheel velocity, brake hydraulic pressure is generated a predetermined number of times in pulsed fashion, after which the brake hydraulic pressure is increased again.

  • Patent number: 5010732
Abstract: A hydraulic pressure booster which may be used in a brake system of a vehicle is constructed to allow a brake output to be increased upon ceasing the depression of a brake pedal, thus imparting a brake feeling which is favorable to a driver. Hydraulic pressure from a first power chamber flows into a second power chamber through a passage provided with an orifice in shunt with a check valve, such that flow from the first power chamber to the second power chamber is retarded while flow from the second power chamber to the first power chamber is unrestricted.
