Patent number: 11895532Abstract: A user equipment (UE) passively determines the presence of a cellular network bottleneck in a downlink channel and may take appropriate actions to mitigate the bottleneck. The UE may analyze the transport block size (TBS) of slots of received downlink traffic and assign states the to various slots based on this analysis. Based on these assigned states, the UE may identify a burst of network traffic from network traffic received from the cellular network, and the UE may also determine the burst duration as well as a busy estimation. The UE may determine that the cellular network is experiencing a bottleneck based at least in part on the burst duration and the busy estimation.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Ioannis Pefkianakis, Madhusudan Chaudhary, Muthukumaran Dhanapal, Lakshmi N. Kavuri, Thanigaivelu Elangovan, Ajay Singh, Deepankar Bhattacharjee, Gaurav Pathak, Carola Faronius, Franco Travostino, Raghuveer Mallikarjunan, Harshit Chuttani, Sreevalsan Vallath, Rajesh Ambati, Jia Tang, Ishwinder Singh

Patent number: 10526682Abstract: Materials and methods for precious metal recovery are disclosed. Usable leaching solutions are preferably aqueous based and include appropriate materials in sufficient quantities to solubilize and stabilize precious metal. Such materials typically include oxidant material. Some or all of the oxidant material can be, in some instances, generated in-situ. The leaching solution is typically contacted with a substrate having a target precious metal, thereby solubilizing precious metal to form a stable, pregnant solution. The precious metal can then be recovered from the pregnant solution. In some instances, components of the leaching solution can be regenerated and reused in subsequent leaching.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2018Date of Patent: January 7, 2020Assignee: Enviroleach Technologies Inc.Inventors: Duane Nelson, Mohammad Doostmohammadi, Hanif Jafari, Ishwinder Singh Grewal

Publication number: 20190233917Abstract: Materials and methods for precious metal recovery are disclosed. Usable leaching solutions are preferably aqueous based and include appropriate materials in sufficient quantities to solubilize and stabilize precious metal. Such materials typically include phosphoric acid and an oxidant material. Some or all of the oxidant material can be, in some instances, generated in-situ. The leaching solution is typically contacted with a substrate having a target precious metal, thereby solubilizing precious metal to form a stable, pregnant solution. The precious metal can then be recovered from the pregnant solution. In some instances, components of the leaching solution can be regenerated and reused in subsequent leaching.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2019Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventors: Duane Nelson, Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Mohammad Doostmohammadi, Hanif Jafari

Patent number: 8874084Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling access to a wireless network are provided. An access control device is configured to control access of a wireless device to the wireless network. The access control device includes a receiver configured to receive, from the wireless device, a first identifier. The first identifier has an identifier type. The access control device further includes a processor configured to select a database, from a first database and a second database, based on the identifier type. The processor is further configured to determine whether the first identifier is in the selected database. The processor is further configured to restrict access of the wireless device to the wireless network based on whether the first identifier is in the selected database.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2011Date of Patent: October 28, 2014Assignee: Qualcomm IncorporatedInventors: Saad Zaidi, Ishwinder Singh, Sivaramakrishna Veerepalli

Patent number: 6986732Abstract: A centrifuge bowl has a bottom accelerator for accelerating the materials from a feed duct extending into the bowl. The accelerator is a molded body having a top plate with a central hole arranged to receive the materials from the bottom feed mouth of the duct and a plurality of vanes underneath the top plate, each vane extending generally outwardly from an inner nose underneath an outer edge of the hole to an outer end at an outer edge of the top plate. The vanes each have a bottom surface lying in an imaginary bottom surface of the molded body which is conical and contains fasteners arranged to be fastened to the conical bottom wall of the bowl. A deflector plate lies underneath the hole with a bottom surface spaced from the imaginary bottom surface and intersecting the height of the vanes.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2003Date of Patent: January 17, 2006Assignee: Knelson Patent Inc.Inventors: Edwin John William Zonneveld, Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Robert Neil Margarit, Baha Elsayed Abulnaga

Patent number: 6962560Abstract: A centrifuge bowl for separating heavier particles from lighter particles and water comprises a first conical bowl wall leading to a pair of annular recesses at actually spaced positions. Each recess is generally V-shaped with an upper side wall, a lower side wall and a base. The base contains a plurality of angularly spaced discharge ducts each having a pinch valve by which it can be closed and mouth projecting through the base into the interior of the bowl for collecting the heavier particles. Each recess includes injection openings in the upper and lower side walls of the recess arranged to inject fluidizing water in a direction generally parallel to the base and across the mouth of each discharge duct. An insert member formed by two annular screens can be inserted into the recess radially inwardly of the discharge and injection holes and contains a bed of beads which act to float inwardly while the valves are closed and to collapse outwardly when the valves are opened.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2003Date of Patent: November 8, 2005Assignee: Knelson Patents Inc.Inventor: Ishwinder Singh Grewal
