  • Patent number: 7726390
Abstract: The invention relates to a hollow chamber profile made of metal, especially for heat exchangers. Said profile is made of an extruded base profile (10) having two broad parallel sides and two narrow sides or is made of a base profile which is a circular tube type or coaxial tube type. At least one channel (11) extends inside said base profile in the longitudinal direction thereof. The hollow profile has improved heat transfer properties on the sides and webs (13) which are deformed perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof.

Date of Patent: June 1, 2010
    Assignee: Erbslöh Aluminium GmbH
Inventors: Norbert William Sucke, Ismail Boyraz, Reiner Breindl, Reinhold Schurf
  • Patent number: 7143622
Abstract: The invention relates to an extruded composite profile (10) and to method for separately winding two individual simultaneously extruded tubes (20, 30) with the aid of a winding device. The inventive extruded composite profile (10) consists of at least two individual tubes (20, 30) connected to each other with the aid of a thin binding site which makes it possible to extrude thereof in such a way that they run out from an extruder (a) at an identical velocity (v1). Said output velocity is regulated by a regulating device (D) in order to obtain a constant velocity (v2) prior to dividing the extruded composite profile (10) into said individual tubes by means of a dividing device (E) which are wound afterwards. The levelling of the tubes output velocity (v1) and the winding velocity (v3) corresponding to (v2) makes it possible to carry out a low-cost winding of several simultaneously extruded profiles.

  • Patent number: 6928910
Abstract: In a method for separating a flat pipe section of aluminum or an aluminum alloy from a solder-coated, thin-walled flat pipe section member for producing a clean, bur-free separating cut, the solder coating is first mechanically removed from the flat pipe section member at a predetermined separating location and, subsequently, the flat pipe section member is cut with at least one sharp cutting blade at the predetermined separating location.

  • Patent number: 6687995
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising two manifolds (10). Profiled pipe sections (11) are accommodated with a lamella configuration (12) between said manifolds. According to the invention, an obstructing means (13) for preventing the flow of solder is provided on the exterior of the profiled pipe section (11) between the manifold (10) and the lamella configuration (12). The invention also relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger. The invention provides that the obstructing means (13) is formed on the profiled pipe sections (11) before the sections are cut from a profiled pipe billet.
