  • Patent number: 10785687
Abstract: The application relates to the removal of one of the links in multi-flow HSPA but the proposed method is also applicable to normal HSDPA operation during handover. In particular the application aims at minimizing the negative impact of a removed radio link, i.e. drop of packets and/or delays. According to the proposed method, in which the radio link to be removed is via a first Node B NB1 (RL Removal Req), the NB1 ends the pending data transmission and informs the controlling RNC about the data which was not transmitted, in particular in the form of the lowest sequence number in its buffer. Subsequently, the RNC decides, based on this sequence number, which data packets need to be retransmitted on a second radio link via a second node B NB2, and instructs NB2 accordingly (Data Forwarding).

  • Patent number: 9930542
Abstract: A method is provided, which includes receiving an automatic neighbor relation log at a control node, forwarding a log entry from the automatic neighbor relation log to a neighboring control node related to a cell contained in the log, receiving the log entry at the neighboring control node and updating a neighbor cell list of the related cell with neighbor cell parameters contained in the log entry.

  • Patent number: 9814083
Abstract: A method includes determining in a network node that a first channel is to be established between an access node and a user equipment. The first channel including one of an uplink or downlink and being provided between said access node and said user equipment. The first channel provides information for controlling a data channel which is the other of said uplink and downlink and provided between said access node and said user equipment. The data channel is such said user equipment is provided with always on connectivity. The method also includes providing information to said access node to cause said first channel to be established responsive to said determination.

  • Patent number: 9179326
Abstract: The invention relates to an access node in a communications network that is adapted for providing an identifier for a relay node including receiver means arranged to receive a message from the relay node, the message requesting an establishment of an interface over a communication link, checking means arranged to check data fields included in the message received, generating means arranged to generate the identifier, and transmitting means arranged to transmit the generated identifier to the relay node over the interface connection of communication link.

  • Patent number: 8254339
Abstract: In a receiver apparatus of HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) data transmission scheme, it is achieved to minimize the occurrence of the system performance degradation and problems caused by TSN flash execution. In the receiver apparatus, each of a plurality of reordering buffers that temporarily store received traffic data is ranked on the basis of QoS information of the traffic data. When it is determined that memory release of the reordering buffers is necessary, the memory release is performed from the lowest ranked reordering buffer.

  • Publication number: 20050111410
Abstract: A radio network system comprises a mobile station (UE), a base station (Node-B) to make radio communication with the mobile station, and a base station controller (RNC). The base station transmits data to the mobile station (step S16). The base station then receives delivery acknowledgment information returned from the mobile station (step S17). At this time, the base station collects the amount of data, i.e., traffic, transmitted to the mobile station (step S18). This can realize data delivery services in an operation mode capable of fast and high realtime performance. In addition, it is possible to compute the total amount of delivered data and provide charging.
