  • Patent number: 9941327
Abstract: A detector module for detecting photons includes a detector formed from a semiconductive material, the detector having a first surface, an opposing second surface, and a plurality of sidewalls extending between the first and second surfaces, and a guard band coupled to the sidewalls, the guard band having a length that extends about a circumference of the detector, the guard band having a width that is greater than a thickness of the detector such that an upper rim segment of the guard band projects beyond the first surface of the detector, the upper rim segment being folded over a peripheral region of the first surface along the circumference of the detector, the guard band configured to reduce recombinations proximate to the edges of the detector.

  • Patent number: 9689720
Abstract: A radiation detector head assembly is provided that includes a detector housing, a detector unit, and a fastener. The detector housing defines a cavity therein, and includes a shielding body disposed at least partially around the cavity. The detector unit is disposed within the cavity, and includes an absorption member and associated processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to generate electronic signals responsive to radiation received by the absorption member. The fastener extends through the detector housing, and is accepted by the detector unit to secure the detector unit to the detector housing. The shielding body of the detector housing is interposed between the fastener and the processing circuitry.

  • Patent number: 6145648
Abstract: A system for continuously processing successive workpieces along a production line having a loader for loading workpieces onto main conveyor for conveying through a workstation and an unloader for unloading a processed workpiece. The loading and unloading are achieved without disturbing the main conveyor during operation of the workstation so as not to vibrate the workpiece during operation of the workstation. According to one embodiment, the workpiece is a printed circuit board and the workstation is an optical inspecting system.

  • Patent number: 5369431
Abstract: A verification and repair station for examining a printed circuit board (PCB) at a plurality of predetermined co-ordinates thereon for enabling an operator to classify suspected faults and to effect manual repair thereof if necessary. A worktable is provided for securing thereon the PCB in precise registration with an origin of the worktable and a fixed camera produces a magnified image of an illuminated area of the PCB. The co-ordinates are stored in a memory of a computer whilst a translatory drive is coupled to the worktable and to the computer for moving the worktable under control of the computer through mutually orthogonal axes so that successive co-ordinates are aligned with the camera.
