    Abstract: A method and system for modulating a steady state stimulus involving first generating a steady state stimulus signal and then modulating the steady state stimulus signal by at least a portion of a sinusoidal signal where the stimulus is set to zero during another portion of the sinusoidal signal. The steady state stimulus may also be offset by the addition of a constant or may be passed through a bandpass filter to reduce or eliminate frequency components that are outside the desired range of stimulation.
