The scheduler includes a clock for keeping date and time, a keyboard for inputting information relating to a user selected schedule of one or more television programs, a display for displaying at least a portion of the information and control apparatus for comparing the date and start time of the television programs to the date and time of the clock for providing an indication to the user starting a predetermined period of time before the start of a television program.
