Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cross car beam for a vehicle including a first main body extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end, at least a first upper fixing point and a first lower fixing point at the first end of the first main body, and at least a second upper fixing point and a second lower fixing point at the second end of the first main body. A first center line runs, or extends, through the first upper fixing point at the first end and the second upper fixing point at the second end. The first main body has a u-shaped first cross section following the first center line. The cross car beam is formed integrally by at least one fiber reinforced polymer.
