Abstract: A digital train brake testing and train preparation assistant uses a system, method, and computer program for determining a component parameter of a train. The system may include sensor nodes mounted to a respective part of the train, wherein the sensor nodes form a sensor network on a rail car, wherein railcars form a wireless mesh network, and wherein each of the sensor nodes is configured to collect data of the component of the respective part of the train and to publish the collected data into the wireless mesh network. The system may further include a server system configured to receive the published data of the wireless mesh network and to determine the component parameter of the train based on the received data. Furthermore, a user device for displaying a component parameter determined by a system, method, and computer program for determining a component parameter of a train is provided.

Abstract: A pedestrian navigation system may include at least one vehicle sensor configured to acquire image data of an environment surrounding a vehicle, and a processor programmed to receive the image data, receive a pedestrian location from a user device associated with a pedestrian, determine if the image data indicates presence of an obstruction at the pedestrian location, and transmit instructions to issue an alert via the user device in response to the image data indicating the presence of the obstruction.

Abstract: A system for reducing a kinetosis effect in at least one passenger of a vehicle comprises at least one set of headphones having two loudspeakers and at least one first ear bud, wherein the at least one set of headphones is designed, at least by means of a sensor device integrated in the first ear bud, to detect the kinetosis effect in the auditory canal of the respective passenger via measurement of the body temperature and to provide acoustic signals by means of the two loudspeakers in order to reduce the kinetosis effect of the passenger depending on the kinetosis effect detected. Forces acting on the passenger and their countenance can also be measured.

Abstract: A system architecture for an active chassis system in a motor vehicle has a vehicle electrical system with a first subsystem and a second subsystem. The first subsystem has a first voltage level that is lower than a second voltage level of the second subsystem (14). At least one electric assembly unit for an active chassis element and at least one control device are provided. The electric assembly unit and the control device are supplied with the second voltage level. A vehicle having a system architecture of this kind is also described.

Abstract: A Process is disclosed for preparing a compound of the Formula (I) which comprises the steps of: (a) detritylating a compound of the Formula (III)  with 0.1 to 1 equivalent of potassium hydroxide in a C1 to C4 straight chain alcohol solvent to obtain a reaction mixture containing the compound of the Formula (I), (b) changing the C1 to C4 straight chain alcohol solvent in the reaction mixture to an aprotic solvent or a weakly protic solvent, and (c) following step (b) crystallizing out the compound of the Formula (I) from the reaction mixture.
